Harriet Carter is a catalog with lots of "As seen on TV" stuff and cheap gifts. I have never requested a copy of their catalog, but once you have shopped with other mail order stores (not sure whom give our names to this company), I'm sure you'll get a ...

Frustrating and irritating

I tried to track my package on-line, but all it said was that the shipping company had received billing info and to contact H. Carter. I e-mailed Harriet Carter and never received a response. I did finally get the package, but with 2 items on back order that I was never informed of.
I have sent another e-mail, but am not optimistic as my 1st message has still not been returned.
I will not be ordering again.

The prices seemed really good, and I wanted to buy a pet screen door from here but I couldn't buy anything because THEY DON'T SEEM TO SHIP TO CANADA.

Very poor inventory, no customer service communication

I ordered an item intended for a holiday gift on Dec. 1(more than enough time!). The shopping cart page said the item was in stock. On Dec. 12 I emailed to find out why I had not received my order. I received an email on Dec. 13 saying that the item was backordered and would not be received by them until approximately Dec. 22 (way too late for me to get it in time for Christmas). If I had not inquired, I would never have known that they had no intention of filling this order in a timely manner, despite their site saying the item was in stock. Very poor coordination of inventory/stock, and no communication by customer service. I would not buy from this merchant again.

You get what you pay for

Very disappointed with the quality of merchandise and packaging quality. A bag containing small items was already open when I opened the box, and the items were scattered all over the box (one item was missing). Box was absolutely loaded with advertisements. Items were very reasonably priced, but the old saying "you get what you pay for" applies here. I won't be shopping at Harriet Carter again any time soon.

From the webpage to the emails, this is a cheap company

I was very upset by the poor customer service. I enquired as to when I would recieve my package and in 3 seperate emails they changed their opinion. The first read "You will recieve your package in 10 days". The second read "You will recieve your package in 1 to 2 weeks". The third read "You will recieve your package in 3 weeks". Im still waiting for my package. I will never shop here again.
