Run, don't walk, far away from this company!

This is the worst company I have ever encountered. There appears to be no customer service staff capable of doing anything and not one will provide us with contact information (name or number) for a manager in charge. Furthermore, they have been dishonest with us repeatedly. We simply ordered a ceiling fan from this company with a promised delivery date to meet our contractor's schedule. Not only did they not meet that date, it was three times as long and when the fan finally came, it was damaged. That was in December. It is now almost March and we still cannot get a refund for the damaged fan we promptly returned. Not only has our project been significantly impacted, but we will also have to pay extra now because we will have to retain a contractor again.

Worst online retailer I have ever dealt with

On August 6, 2007 I ordered three lamps. My credit card was promptly charged for the full amount. Their website indicated that the items were in stock. I received an order confirmation, but no shipment confirmation. I have contacted customer service several times. Each time, I have been told the items are on back order and given a ship date. Each time, that ship date has come and gone with no shipment notification from Home Annex. To make a long story short, over two months later and I still do not have the lamps and Home Annex still has my money. I have cancelled the order and am waiting for a credit to my credit card, which I was told will take 3-4 days after approval of my cancellation.

Ordered one light fixture was billed for and shipped two. It took over a month to get this straightened out with the company. Every time I contacted customer service I was assured by very nice people that the problem was being handled-it wasn't.
I won't be ordering from this company again, too bad because they have a good selection of items. I just spent way too much time solving this problem.
I order a great deal from on line vendors mainly because of the convenience and ability to compare products and prices. Customer service is one of the most important things to me. Home annex screwed up and seemed to have a hard time correcting my problem.

Horrible Online Shopping Experience

I ordered from HomeAnnex.com on 12/10/05 and the product was "in stock" according to the website. Today, 2/9/06, after NUMEROUS phone calls and emails I have still not received the order even though my credit card was charged the same day I ordered.
I've been unable to get a refund on my credit card and will be filing a complaint with the attorney general and my credit card company.
I've been lied to and stolen from. I highly encourage others to avoid the mistakes that many have made (read the other reviews, as I should have first) and order from somewhere else.

The selection is good, although it is hard to search by item number for an item you found previously. The purchasing process was very easy and they charge your card immediately. The item said that it required 2 weeks lead time. I order this item 6 weeks prior to Christmas and it will arrive on December 27. Attempts to contact customer service were successful (in the end), but very unsatisfying. It is unfortunate--I shop a lot online with AMAZON--they have GREAT customer service. In comparison, HOME ANNEX is HORRIBLE and I will never shop there again! I searched out this website so I could warn others. I even wrote the manufacturer to tell them they do not want to be associated with this company (the company blamed the shipping delay on the manufacturer). I know there can be problems and if they had acted sorry or done anything to make it up to me, I would have been satisfied; but they didn't.

You can't return an item for refund.

I ordered a lamp because of their good price. It was not bright enough for my use(reading) so I requested a return for refund. It was denied. Check their homepage and click BBB(Better Business Bureau) icon. It shows that HomeAnnex is not reliable retailer by describing like this: This company's BBBOnLine Reliability participation has lapsed for one of the following reasons...

DO NOT BUY FROM HOMEANNEX!
I ordered a copper hand held shower system...they sent a chrome towel bar (8 weeks later). Customer service is a joke! I have spent 2 weeks corresponding via emails and on the phone and still I am going to have to send the wrong item back BEFORE they will refund me. WARNING...Do not shop with them!

I ordered with this company about a year ago.
They took almost five weeks to ship (Ginger corner shelves).
I gave them a second chance, thinking there was just a
glitch with the supply, so I ordered the same items
again this year.
Man, I wish I would have read these reviews before I made
that mistake! I ordered June 26th - after endless,
unanswered e-mails and two phone calls (I tried to call a
few more times but gave up after 20 minutes on hold) the
merchandise arrived October 13th! after I had just about
given up. Three and a half months!
They don't actually have a warehouse, I think,
they just order whatever gets ordered with them.
Of course selling everything so cheap and lets face it,
that's why I ordered from them, they are absolutely broke
and can't fill all the orders that come in. Remember NO
warehouse. I consider myself lucky to have received
anything at all.

I will never use Home Annex again. I placed an order over the phone 12-4-08 and was told the item would be shipped 12-8-08. By 12-11-08 I was concerned because there were no follow-up e-mails regarding the shipping. I went on-line only to find out I had no order. I called and was told yes I had an order pending, but that the item was on back-order and would be shipped mid-January. I asked why I didn't receive notice. The customer service agent had no answer. I asked to cancel my order. She had to check with her supervisor. I asked if my credit card was billed, she had to check with the credit card department. I was told that yes it was billed, but they would refund my money. I will wait and see. Overall their customer service is horrendous. Each hold lasts at least three minutes, while they check things out. Quick to bill, non-existent when it comes to actually processing the order.

Big Fat Red Sharpie F!

Like everyone else said; this company is not very impressive. Please do your homework before buying from them. I order 2 items. Both were shipped timely and nicely packaged with padding. However one of the items looked like it had been kicked acrossed the room and was damaged severly. The box it came in was taped back together and if they would have checked it before shipping it they would have seen that it was damaged. It's been 1 month and 6 days since I submitted my Returned Goods Authorization and I still don't have my new item. Called multiple times in one day, submitted emails to 4 different people. No response. They refuse to give me the direct line for the returns department and promise me that she will call me back. She hasn't yet. Thanks for getting my Christmas gift to me on time for Christmas.

Good product variety but very poor customer service

Beware of the poor customer service...
Attempted to purchase a light with with black hardware which was provided as an option on the website. HomeAnnex placed the wrong order. I had to call several times to attempt to resolve the issue. Customer service at HomeAnnex was totally unresponsive. Requests to speak directly to the Customer service Manager were ignored. I finally was able to reolve my issue by contacting the manufacturer directly but still had to re-wire the light myself. Beware of the poor customer service.

TERRIBLE company! These people are a RIP OFF. Ordered two faucets at $300 each and the chrome finish is a mess. I have been fighting them on getting replacements now for over TWO MONTHS and it's still not resolved. Now the want me to pay for return shipping and a restocking fee for damaged goods, I don't think so. I have reported them to the NY BBB and will wait to see what they can do to help me. DO NOT ORDER from this company unles you like being ripped off.

Worst of the worst

This is the worst company I have ever delt with. They charged my credit card but didn't ship the product. After hours on the phone they sent the fireplace doors. Needless to say they were the incorrect size even though they were given the model number of the fireplace. Hours on the phone again with promises to return my calls but they never did. After many weeks they sent me a return label but we now here nothing from them. They now have my money and I returned the doors so I guess I end up with nothing. The only ability they have is to run you around, I think I heard every excuse. Save yourself a lot of problems deal with anyone but HomeAnnex.
