Disgusted with my Homeclick experience - avoid like the plague!!!

Homeclick is "temporarily" closed... Unfortunately, my order was placed before they were closed... Not to mention that I received NO notification of this situation. I only learned about it after I went online to figure out what was happening with my order.
They claim to have cancelled and refunded all orders - mine has not yet been refunded and they have not responded to any calls or emails.
This company embraces dishonest business practices as it's core value system.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH HOMECLICK.COM!!!!

DISASTER

The shipping company failed to deliver. I had to pick up the order by driving 40 miles to the trucking center. One of the ordered cabinets was damaged. I wanted to cancel, but homeclick refused and shipped the replacement. Two weeks and ten phone calls later, it's still not here.... while my contractor is gone...
DO NOT SHOP WITH HOMECLICK. IT IS A DISASTER!

Dangerous website. Watch out. This site confirmed a sale and set up a charge account to pay for that sale while I thought I was still shopping. I called immediately to cancel the mistaken purchase and customer service hung up on me. I called back and customer service refused to give me a cancellation number. They shipped the goods four days after I cancelled the order. It took 5 days of repeated calls and emails to get return information and I learned that returning the items would cost almost as much as the total purchase (they require repackaging, FedEx, and 25% restocking fee).

Repeatedly emailed customer service to resolve shipment shortage; seven emails later, still not resolved. Ordered four sets of four glasses - received two glasses instead of sixteen. The time wasted in trying to resolve the issue is not worth any discount they might offer. Buyer beware!!

We have been extremely pleased with all the products we have received. We have told numerous friends about homeclick.com They are terrific, and we saved a lot of money. Our house looks significantly better due to the products we purchased, and we were able to afford nicer things than we had planned because of them.

Costly - Bad experience all around and all I have is a loss

Ordered a $300 item 2/21/06 from HomeClick.com. Estimated delivery 2-3 weeks. After a month sent 2 e-mails asking status. Received no response, so I called twice, first time waited 20 min and rep hung up before I could respond, second waited 20 min and rep could not give status but promised to send an e-mail. Received no e-mail, so after 3 days, on 3/22 I called to cancel and ordered the item from a competitor (was delivered in 3 business days). On 3/27 I got ab e-mail that the canceled order had shipped and will arrive 3/30. I called cancellation dept and was advised it shipped before they could cancel. From 3/22 to 3/27 was not enough time. I advised I would not accept the shipment and was advised that was OK but there was a 25% restocking fee. Cost me $73.91. Judge the service for yourself.

Happy experience - Found my product, Great prices and shipping

I ordered an item that could be shipped via courier (sink grid) and not freight, so I did not have the delivery window issue (I did have this issue with freight deliveries from other vendors and think it's just to be expected - freight and residential don't mix).
I am very happy with my first homeclick experience. The selection was great and my item was not offered many other places, the prices are definitely great, and I received my order on time and very well packaged (no damage to product box at all). I also really like how order status and shipping tracking numbers are available.

Horrendous experience

Sure, prices are good - but what good does that do when the product never ships, even weeks after your card is charged? And when I tried to contact the company to get some idea when my order would be shipped, they completely ignored every email. They simply do not want anything to do with the customer once they have your money. They refuse to communicate. So, I emailed to cancel the order and have my card credited, but they did not respond to that, either. If you are smart enough to come here looking for facts about Homeclick, I hope you will be smart enough to avoid them like the plague.

I think I was slammed by HomeClick, I was never shopping there, had never heard of the place, I believe I was at cooking.com and suddenly I was at there site. Anyway, they are very slow in shipping, and they show and sell items no longer available. Also, I had a problem with an order, I had two different items that were sold in sets of 4 each and when the items came, I only got one each. Even though I had order 1 set of 4 of each item, the items came in sets of four. When I called to point out their mistake, their Customer Service Representative implied I was lying by saying the item weighed in at 22 pounds and the delivery person reweighs it, and then proceeded to tell me that they had to do an investigation. The next day I decided to call again and speak to a super and was told they had shipped out the remaining 3 each of the items the previous day. I have still not received the items, or the items I ordered and paid for previous.

Charged my card a week after canceling order

This company is HORRIBLE. From what I can tell it is just a bunch of kids taking orders over the phone. They NEVER return phone calls and never respond to emails.
I order an expensive ($1500) item and was told it would ship out the next week. I found the next day that it was the wrong item and canceled it. It showed up pending on my credit card. I called 4 times to ensure it was canceled. Finally, it was actually Charged to my card and the order status indicated the item wasn't in stock anyway and that it hadn't been canceled.

STAY AWAY - CAVEAT EMPTOR

I purchased a kitchen faucet from this company, Home Décor Products, on an internet transaction on November 17, 2006. I received a box from the company in good condition shortly thereafter.
Upon attempting to install the kitchen faucet I purchased, a plumber that I hired for the purpose informed me that the faucet was defective; it had two dents on its water supply tubes. The plumber recommended I call the manufacturer, which I did, and I spoke to XXX in Grohe USA customer service GROHE AMERICA, INC., Phone: 630-582-7711, and they in fact confirmed it was defective and to return to place of purchase.
I have spoken to the company on more than three occasions and have sent emails as well requesting at first an immediate replacement, and then after weeks of no-action, I finally requested a full refund.
Neither a refund nor a replacement has been sent to date. They refuse to respond to inquiries.

I don't know about the ones leaving bad reviews, but my shopping experience with HomeClick was very good. I had a problem with the shipping company breaking the item, Big Green Egg (twice). Customer service was there with quick response and updates. It took about four weeks to get my item, but I knew what the status was the whole time. I received a total of 10 emails from them on what the status of my item was. I would buy from HomeClick again anytime, I saved about $150.00 on what it would have cost from local.

Horrible company!!! Rude people and the worst customer service I've ever encountered! Confusing site. Charged credit card before shipping, wrong item sent, told us to repack and send it back, but to unpack and repack in another box to be sure it wasn't damaged! We had to pay for return shipping and was charged 25% restocking fee. Also told they would get back with price on item that was supposed to be sent but never did. Think twice before ever ordering from them! I will NEVER place another order with this so called company. BEWARE!!

I can't say enough about Homeclick. I ordered a big item, a toilet, and I was a little nervous. Their return policy is clear about damaged items but none the less.. Anyway, it came packaged unbelievably well. They know what they're doing. The thing was all strapped up, padded, etc. Really fine work. Price couldn't be beat also. This was the first of many purchases for my renovation. Prepare for more business guys. Dealing with Homeclick was a good experience.

The shipping company called to schedule delivery but was not accomadating to my schedule at all. It took some convincing before they agreed to deliver in the afternoon when I would be home. The lady there even asked me If I would come and pick it up. I told her that was not acceptable considering I had paid for delivery!They said that they could not deliver this to me until 12-7-06. I thought I paid for 3-day shipping!!

I have not yet received my product. I was following up on the status of my product. I e-mailed and received no response. I called and was left on hold for at least 1/2 hour. The recording initially said the wait was 10 minutes and it progressively went down until 4 minutes then it went up to 8 minutes, back down to 1 minutes back up to 10 minutes, etc.

My order took over two weeks to arrive and I did not receive an email notifying me of a delay until I contacted them first.
A small part of my order was damaged. I contacted them and was told they would replace the damaged pieces. The representative got the manufacturer on the line while I waited and told me to expect the replacements in 7 to 10 days. I have not yet received the replacements.

Great selection and prices. However, we are still missing a part of our order. I also find that having to go to homeclick and check on my order and that I did not receive a confirmation email kind of sketchy. Other websites send a confirmation of the order being placed, shipped, etc.

The delivery time seems to be longer than I expected. I am on the phone now waiting for customer service which seems to be quite a wait. The telephone answerer did say that the estimated wait would be 6 minutes which have now elapsed plus a minute and I still have not talked to a customer service representative. They just added 5 minutes to my wait time. Therefore, I cannot track my order. And - this music that is in my ear right now is too loud and very irritating! Thank you.
