How could they get away with doing this??? I can't believe that they are able to operate and scam everyone. I wished that had researched this website first. Does anyone know how I could file a complaint against this company??? They stole over 20 dollars from me...

I wish I had looked them up here first...This place is a SCAM. Took my money and never produced. They do not respond to any emails. I ordered numerous magazines and never received even one.

Crooks and Thieves. I used them a couple years ago, and had a great experience. When it came time to renew my subscriptions in December of 2006, did so without bothering to look them up here as I had had a good experience before. I will not get my money back, no magazines, sent letter to BBB, never get a response and never will. Thieves, stealing money, pure and simple. The best part of their scam is that by the time you realize they have stolen your money, it's too late to get it back from the Credit Card issuer as months have passed.

I just wish that I would have found this out before I placed my order. This is a huge scam and everyone should save their money. I have used other discount magazine sites with good results. They were a little cheaper so I went with them. Strangly I did recieve 2 of the 10 subscriptions that i ordered.

Picking out the magazine and completing the order was typical. No problems. I placed the order on Dec. 20th, 2006 as a gift. I didn't expect delivery for 2-3 months, as they advised. On April 18th, I tried to contact them. No response, on April 24th, issues a trouble ticket on their website, No response other than they were having problems with their email system. Today May 6th, 2007. Still no response/resolution. What a joke! I would never buy again.

This is definitely an online store to avoid as it is completely a scam.

We were charged for two months (Oct 06 and Nov 06) for a magazine subscription that never came. We have contacted MagsforLess numerous times (at least 4-5 times) and asked for a refund. We usually receive an apology from someone named Meagan and a promise that it has been submitted to the refunds manager, along with a promise that we should see a refund within 4-5 working days. Of course this has never happened. We did not receive even a reply to our last request. Our advice -- stay away from Magsforless.

FIND ANOTHER PLACE TO SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY. PT Barnum said something like ...born every day! Well put me on what appears to be a long list. I ordered 2 magazines for my kids before Christmas last year. I contacted them after waiting the 8-12 weeks required for normal delivery, Meagan indicated the order was messed up and would personally resubmit the order. Well another couple of months go by and still nothing, no longer get responses via email. This company is a scam. I wish I had read the other reviews before placing my order. I placed a renewal order for Autoweek and was billed for it on my credit card. A record of my order never showed up in their system and they have never tried to rectify the problem.

FRAUD! BEWARE!
I placed an order for the Popular Science magazine with MagsForLess in November 06. I used Google Checkout, hoping it will add to the confidence that this order will be processed correctly.
No magazines arrived and it's already 5 months since my order. I sent MagsForLess repeated inquiries with no reply.
I then escalated to Google (as they handled the payment) and even that was useless. Google wrote back to me that their multiple attempts to contact the seller were fruitless and suggested I will dispute the charge with the credit card company.
I should have read the reviews BEFORE donating my money to the crooks at MagsForLess :( I hope this will help some other folks before they lose their money.

Scam. I spent $150 (stupid me). No magazines, no refunds. Nothing. Over a year and counting. Stay away!!!!!!!!

Meagan just keeps saying she found an error and then eventually ignores you. They even delete record of you having purchased from their web interface.

I ordered a magazine from them in September of 2007. As of April 2008 I still have not received it, in spite of repeated attempts to contact the company. I am writing this purchase off as a mistake. From now on I will only deal with the magazine publishers themselves. Please do not EVER use this company!

Never got the magazines. Twice I tried to order through this company and did not receive a single copy. I'm still trying to get a refund.

BEWARE! I also ordered from Magsforless back in September and have never received any of the magazines. I contacted the company more than 8 times via email with no response. There is no phone number listed on the site. I contacted the publishers and they have no record of my subscriptions. I was also unable to get a refund from Paypal on my payment. I have filed a complaint with the BBB. I wish I would have seen these comments before I had placed an order with them. How are they able to still have a website???

Yes, MagsForLess IS a SCAM. I ordered and paid for 2 Christmas gift subscriptions 11/16/06. 20 weeks later no one had received them. Now, I'm told after persistent emails, that Mens Health can't be processed and the other one could be delivered in another 11 weeks or so, I told them to give me a refund and they are saying to wait another 7 - 10 days! What a Rip-OFF! I'm mad at the reputable magazines who claimed this was a good site and mad at GoogleCheck-Out for allowing such a shabby seller. Wish I had seen the bad comments Before I ordered. Now, I need to replace 2 Christmas gifts in April!

I got conned too. 6 months later - no response but the generic one. Please please please report them to the BBB in New York - here's their email address - it only takes a minute!!!!

Nothing but a Scam. If you fell victim to this scam, be sure to report them to the BBB as well as NY Attorney General.

I place two orders with this company, neither of which was fulfilled.  After multiple emails, I finally got one refund.  Today, more than a year later, I am still being promised the second.

I wish I had read these comments before ordering! I am owed almost $80 for two gift subscriptions that they never delivered on. Promised refund never appeared! No response to e-mails - impossible to contact!

I have been dealing with MagsForLess since December 2006. I ordered two subscription packages in September of 2006. In December I contacted them. Like others, the phone message system gets no return calls. The email system gives you nothing but promises from someone named Meagan. I doubt now that that is a real person. Nothing but empty promises. In March I contacted them again, same thing. Apologies and empty promises. I asked them for my money back. Still nothing. My last email to them resulted in more promises to resubmit my subscriptions to the publisher. Duh? I asked for a refund. My next step is now to the district attorney.

I ordered several magazines almost a year ago. I haven't received any! I have sent over 20 e-mails requesting a refund to no avail. This company is a scam!

I ordered Guitar Player Magazine for my son back in February. After 11 weeks I contacted Guitar Player and found out that his name was not in their database. I emailed them and got an automated reply with a ticket number but no answer from them in any other way.
Stay away from this company!

Ordered a magazine for unbelievable low price. Should have known better. Never got the magazine and get no response to my complaints. I can't believe they still have a web site. Will try the NY AG.

If you're even considering it - Please don't order from them. I ordered a three year subscription of "Popular Science" magazine in April '07. After 12 weeks I contacted customer service who said that they would resubmit my order to the publisher and I should receive it within 6-12 weeks. 12 weeks later I'm still in the same position waiting for the first copy of my magazine to appear - Again they apologised and promised to personally resubmit/track my order and that I should wait another 6-12 weeks.

It's now February - almost 10 months since I first placed my order and all I really want from them is my money back so I can order this subcription from a more reputable service that will actually deliver - Right now, I'm concerned that they won't refund my money back. The link for a 'refund' in their customer service automated email response does not work - what a surprise.

To sum it up - Don't order from these guys, they'll rip you off and keep you waiting for a magazine that you'll never receive.

I ordered three magazines in July of 2006 and it is now April of 2007 and I have not received a single issue of any of the 3 magazines. Save your money, MagsForLess will take your money and run.

I had the same experience tht everyone else had. Paid for mags and they werent delivered.

They are crooks. They took my money immediately for AutoWeek, 4 months later, I've contacted them 6 times with no magazine and no refund. Don't trust them with any order, you have a better chance of getting a magazine by throwing your money down a sewer.

I too purchased 3 magazine subscriptions from them on Dec. 17th 2006 as gifts. One was delivered out of the three. I never receive any response from anyone when I e-mail and they have also deleted my orders from their system now. I have copies of them although it probably won't do any good. To those of you who did receive a response you should look up the persons name in the phone book and call them at home. Maybe they'll get tired of it and give you your money back. If I had a name that's what I'd do. Of course, that's assuming they gave you their real name. It's worth a try.

Ripped off, but saved by the credit card company. I ordered a 3 year subscription to Rolling Stone Magazine, but after 3 months of waiting, I inquired from MagsForLess. I sent in several emails, and only received one initial reply. The other emails went into limbo land. After reading the reviews on Epinions.com, I quickly notified the credit card company to cancel the transaction, of which they did for me. This website needs to be removed.

Ordered People magazine on Dec 14, 2007. In March, wrote back and they said that their supplier went "defunct"--I thought People was the supplier. So, they ordered it again. Waited til May--still no magazine--this time they tried again. It is now September 5--no magazine. I asked for a refund and they sent it out (they said) 3 days ago--we live in the same state--so the check must be walking here. I ordered online A LOT and this is the worse company I have ever dealt with.

AARRRRGHHHH!!! Don't use them, despite their prices! Their "customer service" system on their website stinks!! I agree with other reviews about the runaround they give. They used to fill orders, but it looks like they don't anymore. What can we do to shut them down? I will file complaints as suggested with BBB (NY?) and NY Atty Gen. I'm not out too much $ but it's the principal. In a warped way, it's comforting to know I'm not alone. Next time I'm checking opinions first!
Update!! I filed a complaint with the NY BBB (not hard to do online) and did receive a prompt refund.

As a followup to an earlier positing, I had the same experience as everyone else. I order a magazine last July (2006) and never received the magazines. After numerous complaints, I finally gave up, figuring it was not worth the effort anymore. Imagine my surprise when this past Saturday (Nov 2 2007), I received a check from an outfit named PMR Enterprises LLC for the amount of my subscription, with a notation "magsforless refund". I guess no good deed goes unpunished after all.

I ordered my subscription BEFORE reading all of the online reviews for MagsForLess.  I found an unbelievable deal on a magazine for 4 years and purchased it.  When I read all the reviews...and there are hundreds of them...wherein each of the reviewers had a difficult time getting their magazines or their money, I was dejected.
BUT...I placed the order online on June 12, 2009 and by July 28, 2009, I had the first issue in my mailbox!  I went online to the magazine's website (not magsforless) and looked up my subscription, and there it was listed for the next 4 years.  So I've gotten an $80 subscription for $26.48.  I know my story doesn't begin to stem the tide of bad reviews, but I felt I HAD to post if only to be a beacon in the darkness.

Orderd a product from them that was on their web site.  Seems the magazine went out of business before subscription would start.  Didn't both to notify me.  When I went to them becuase I didn't see the magazine, they sent me an email stating that I could get a refund from them.  So I had to go to them because something was "Out of Stock"
Had I not been diligent with this company they would have stolen 20 bucks from me as well. I've been in a request for my refund, now we'll see if I get it.

My thoughts?  Although they have good prices, if the magazines you ordered never get issued, then it's not a good deal after all!

Magsforless SCAM! I ordered 5 magazines in August 2006. Everything looked "ok", prompt order confirmation, prompt responses for e-mails... then nothing... for months... I called them in December 2006 and they said that they are going to resubmit my order towards the publishers. Now it's June 2007. I opened new tickets several times with them, and got no response on their side.
