We returned a monitor unopened to Photo Alley over a month ago and we have yet to receive a refund. We have emailed and called numerous times and we get no response other than "you will receive a refund when we hear from the appropriate department." It has been over a month since the monitor was received back by Photo Alley and no refund!! Emailing or calling them is like talking to a door.

I purchased a 500 GB drive from them with no problems. They delivered as promised in a well protected box. I have since added the drive to my Apple and it works like a dream. The best part was that they have the lowest price of all vendors, big smile.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH PHOTOALLEY.COM !!!! They took my order on 11/24/06, waited until 12/05/06 to "ship" my order and bill my credit card. On 12/18/06 I emailed them to ask for a trace on shipping since I had not received the item. They sent back an email saying the order was cancelled since the product was discontinued by the manufacturer; the problem is they never credited my charge card! I was told by my credit company I had to wait 15 days to give them the time to credit my card. I will dispute the charge and get my money back if I need to, but don't buy from this vendor. The accounting practices they use are a bit shady. They should have issued the credit immediately. Now I need to find a new Christmas gift 4 days before Christmas.

I'm usually very careful about checking out an online merchant before ordering, however I was so delighted with free shipping and no tax from Photo ALley that I purchased my Nikon Coolpix camera first, then. to my horror, read the reviews.
I would be terribly remiss if I didn't immediately write this review about the WONDERFUL shopping experience I had with Photo Alley. The camera was shipped the next day by FED EX and arrived one day earlier than expected. The process was seamless-even the phone call to get a tracking number for Fed Ex. I would certainly order from them again.
Perhaps Photo alley in the past has deserved their negative reviews. I feel they must have gotten themselves together and improved dramatically from 3 or 4 years ago. I wouldn't hesitate to use them

They started off charging me for the lights I ordered using the name RitzCamera. I had no problem with this. My lights were paid for and shipped. After this they charged me again as Photoalley.com. I had a problem with this and called customer service. After 45 minutes on hold I tried their online help. I would get 1 line response every 10 minutes. I stated that I was charged again for the item the day after they shipped it. All they had to reply was "We did not charge you twice sir". My account states differently. The online help was useless. Finally I called my bank and they called photoalley and got the charge removed. I will never use them again for even the simplest of items and recommend you do the same.
On the night of the 21st after I got right of the second charge and my order was listed as closed, they billed my card a third time. So after my order was shipped they billed my card two extra times....once in the morning and once at night. When I called to get this taken care of they told me "Your bank probably screwed up."

was very worried that there was 0 feedback for this store and they claimed to have a just released item that others were all out of stock and back ordered. called and they clearly confirmed it was in stock and would truly be delivered to me in 2 days. it was. very pleasantly surprised when it arrived a day ahead of schedule, the next day. very professional. maybe I was lucky, but I would shop here again.

Online tracking was unable to find my order.
eMail that advised of shipping would be more usefull if it included the UPS/Fedex Tracking number, rather than just stating it was shipped and which carrier was used.

Best price I could find for this product. I wanted to use PayPal to make this purchase, but a glitch in the merchant's payment process online would not let me have it shipped to an address other than my billing address. Had to use a credit card instead. I had to call them to confirm the purchase. Then they called me again for same reason. Overly cautious???

i went on several sites but was having trouble with the coments of other customers and the discriptions of the products were not clear. when i went on this site customers were not comenting badly and the distription of all the items were very clear and i was able to choose the item i needed with out worry that i might have to take the time and effort to return it. it seemed they wanted me to be a happy customer and i liked that.
