My experience was a comedy of errors only I don't find getting treated this badly very funny. My order was so botched I finally had to cancel but not before getting run around for over a week, ignored, and finally hung up on. You might save a few bucks here but the processing limbo and terrible service is hardly worth the odds. Never again.

An update! I was charged 40 dollars for the "re-stocking fee" AND $150 DOLLARS IN SHIPPING COSTS THROUGH UPS! So, basically, I spent $190 dollars and got nothing for it!
WARNING!!! This company is the worst when it comes to returns. There's a 20-PERCENT RE-STOCKING FEE - Which is not apparent on the website. Absolutely no help from the customer service. They product ships from manufacturer (there's no "surplus" here), so tell me...WHY IS THERE A RE-STOCKING FEE?

I was quite reluctant to purchase from this company because of the past reviews. It was the only company that had a faucet and hand spray combination that would fit my utility sink. I took a chance. I received a purchase confirmation but no delivery detail. I had to go to my website account to find out that the item was backordered. I emailed customer service to find out when the item would be in. I received a prompt response to say it was delayed 1 week. I figured I would give them a week before I would follow up. Since I wasn't expecting the item, I was quite surprised to see it on my doorstep within 2 days. I received the item in excellent condition. I did not receive any further correspondence in regards to the delivery or confirmation of the delivery.

I purchased a faucet and found it to be not what I expected. I returned the faucet following their returns guidelines and the return was rejected. When I called to inquire I was told that it had shown signs of being installed. Unbelievable! It was the completely wrong faucet so why would I have installed it? I wanted a small drinking faucet and this faucet was a huge bar faucet. Not even compatible. Company still refused to refund my money so now I am out the cost of the faucet plus 2 shipping fees!

I purchased what I thought to be a complete shower valve and showerhead. When I received it it was the trim only. Buried in the description it said fits valve body # so and so.
Other trim kits listed said; trim only in their description as well in their listing. I'm not in a habit of buying fixtures often, but I had recently bought the identical tub and show faucet with valve body for $13.00 more at a local closeout retailer. So you could see how easy it was making this mistake at a so called "surplus" vender.
Their shipping was speedy and their site has a lot of descriptive pdfs although their content may be misleading.
I ordered a Moen T2703 Level trim kit for bath/shower and paid extra for second day air shipping as I was in the middle of a bathroom make-over and the merchandise was needed quickly. Total cost $127. After 5 days I contacted plumbersurplus.com to inquire on the whereabouts of my order and to request reimbursement of the extra money for second day air shipping. I was told that my address didn't exist according to the information that UPS had provided them, which is a joke: UPS delivers to my door nearly daily. I requested the item be sent again, but it never showed up. I contacted plumbersurplus.com several times to get my merchandise or my money back, but was only met with stalling tactics. I decided to contact my credit card company about this failed transaction, and almost simultaneously my account was credited by half the amount that I had spent: $63. Obviously, someone was trying to make me go away. I tried unsuccessfully to contact the company again several times, but none of my emails received a reply anymore. I feel that I have to warn anyone not to deal with this company. It strongly appears to be a rip-off enterprise.

worst place to buy incomplete le chataeu vanity incomplete faucets had no hardware and were expensive found them cheaper at home depot or lowes. very bad service they dont answer their phone calls or messages. got stuck with incomplete items.

Terrible service and questionable honesty. They hit my credit card for nearly $1000 even though they did not have the goods to ship. No response to emails or phone calls so I had to go through the credit card dispute process.

I ordered an inexpensive buzzer on 02/15/2009. It never arrived. UPS says they left it at the door. While I tried to clean up that mess, I ordered another. That did arrive. Re the undelivered buzzer, UPS will only deal with Plumbersurplus. Plumbersurplus will not refund - they say it was signed for. I asked Plumbersurplus to pursue my claim with UPS. They said they would - on 05/18/2009 This month, 08/2009, I have followed up with them numerous times. I only receive a canned acknowledgement but no reply. I talked with UPS on 08/12/2009. They said the package was not signed for - that that was not required. They also said they have never heard from Plumbersurplus. This is bordering on theft.
Before I placed my order, I was told the product was IN STOCK and that the price quoted included both taxes and SHIPPING. During the ordering process, a SHIPPING cost was added. Disappointed, I ordered anyway. After ordering, I checked (and continue to check everyday) the status of my shipment, and find the product is still "BACKORDERED", even though I was told it was IN STOCK. My original order was not available, so they went to the mangufacturer to create a custom system (which ended up being $10 cheaper). They called to make sure this was alright, and everything arrived on time and in great condition. An excellent experience. Read more
