I purchased a brand called Sunpentown ice maker from quality matters and it was defective. It started leaking after 3 cycles. Customer service at the retailer was decent enough but at the manufacturer it was downright unhelpful, incomprehensible and aggravating. Too bad, but that's the product you are selling so I have to give two thumbs way down. Updated November 15, 2009. I bought a hot water dispenser and when it arrive, it was defective! This wasn't the worst part. On the website, they said to email them for return directions and so I wrote them. 4 days go by, and no response. It has now been one week; I still haven't heard from the company, so I am writing them another email. They don't give a hoot if your product doesn't work! Do NOT USE THESE GUYS. If they do not respond to me, I am going to report them to the Better Business Bureau. I hate wasting time with unresponsive retails.

... and I have done plenty of on-line shopping. I've never written one of these other than for an Ebay comment. These guys were so nice and helpful that I actually wanted to let people know.
I found that Quality Matters had the best deal on an Sunpentown (SPT) portable AC, so when I had a question about my order, I called and got someone on the phone who was polite and helpful.
After I got my AC and decided that I wanted some spare parts to hook up in another room, I called and asked if they had some other parts that I didn't see on the site and if they might be able to combine shipping. They added the parts that I wanted and saved me some extra money as well.
These days I'm surprised when a company answers the phone somewhat soon or even speaks English well enough, but they're actually very nice, dedicated people. A rare level of customer service. I'm extremely satisfied and would strongly recommend them.
We bought a Sunpentown ice maker that was defective on arrival. Trying to communicate with Sunpentown customer reps. is near impossible, they were rude and could hardly convey what they were trying to tell me. Eventually I figured they wanted me to return the item and go away. Quality matters is not that bad except for this bad product.

Quality Matters was fantastic! Order arrived quickly and when the dehumidifier stopped working after only a week, they promptly contacted the manufacturer for me, arranged a pick-up of the faulty one, and had the new one delivered... all with no hassle! The dehumidifier works great, I think the first one was just a lemon. As a matter of fact, we ordered a second one for our home in addition to our business.

Great company to do business with. Best price, free shipping and great delivery. Order a Soleus Portable Air Conditioner on 8/11, received 8/18. It was packed great from factory and arrived in fine shape. I do a lot of on-line ordering and this is a Grade A #1 company to do business with. I called customer service to see if the item was in stock, they said it was in stock at the company so I placed the order on-line and am very happy. Will use them again.

My air conditioner arrived 11 days after I ordered it and I only live 2 hours from the area where it was delivered from (with an estimated delivery time of 1-3 business days). Customer service replied quickly, but said that my order had been lost. 2 weeks after I received my air conditioner I came home to find a message on my voicemail from Quality Matters saying that I had received 2 air conditioners and only paid for one, which isn't true. Also, they wanted me to call them back to give them my tracking info, shipping company name that delivered the product, and my personal bank information. My experience with this company has shown that it is very unorganized with serious administrative and logistical issues. However, I'm happy with the air conditioner, it works well and cools nicely, I just wouldn't order from here again.

Researched a ZILLION Portable AC Units and got so confused. I ended up calling Quality Matters and they answer all of my questions. I ended up buying my unit from them and had my item sooner than expected, was able to track where it was right away and the item is great. Thanks for a great on-line shopping experience. Great service and prices! I had a hard time finding the cupcake stand I wanted till I shopped at Quality Matters. I found the perfect stand and when I compared prices, Quality Matters was less expensive than the makor retailers. You guys are great, but I've had a few issues with the unit. The specs that the manufacturer provided are incorrect. Instead of the 12amps advertised, the unit actually requires 19amps when cooling. This means that it is going to need a dedicated circuit in most residential homes as fuses are typically 20amps. This is very upsetting as I chose this one over a mini-split b/c I didn't want extra work done. It's also not properly cooling my space even when it's running and not tripping the breaker. My space is a recording studio room that's very well insulated with no window and only a single door. I have triple sheetrock on all walls with double on the ceiling. Insulation in all walls, ceiling and attic space. The room dimensions are 16x20....less than the 400ft2 that this unit is supposed to cool easily. I can't get the unit to make the room any cooler than 82 or so. Even without the ac on, the room only gets up to the mid 80s. And this is in Texas where we've been over 100 every day. So, to pay this much and have to do additional work and not have it cool all that much....well, sort of a waste. I've tried numerous times to reach the manufacturer via phone and email. The phone is busy all the time and the emails have never been answered by a service rep. I get auto-responders, but no real help.
Again, you guys have been great, but the manufacturer is the problem. Since you're selling their items, I thought you'd want to know.
