RockCreek.com made it easy to order and the sandals came quickly. I'm in Alabama not far from Chattanooga and I actually recived my order the next day.

After extensive search on the best pricing on Eagle Creek Take2 ORV Trunk.  I found couple sites that had rock bottom prices, quick search on the Web reveal those as scams.  Rock Creek had higher prices than those but much lower than any other site that I trusted or had ordered from.  Found some great reviews, but still thought it was too good to be true.  I ordered with trepidation expecting that there will be some sort of catch.  Well it wasn't, three days later I had my Take 2 just as I ordered and the few extra items (including a free Eagle Creek pack-it unit).  Easy ordering, great price, and very prompt shipping. Will buy from them next time I need travel or outdoor gear.

Rock Creek Outfitters is one of the few online shops I've found that really goes the extra mile on customer service. I called them a few times to get their advice on a tent, jacket and sleeping bag for my son for an upcoming trip, and they couldn't have been nicer or more knowledgeable. Plus the prices were better than any others I found and they got the order to me really quickly. I highly recommend this site.

I was referred to Rock/Creek from the Patagonia website because Patagonia was out of the item I wanted. This worked out perfectly because Rock/Creek carried the other gifts I was looking for as well. I was very pleased with the discounted express shipping, and the order was fulfilled very quickly (everything arrived in just 3 days). I decided to send back a jacket I had ordered for myself because I wasn't crazy about the fit. The customer service person I spoke with was very friendly/knowledgeable and helped me pick out another jacket,  which I just received - it fits perfectly and is exactly what I was after! I can't say enough good things about my experience with these guys. The selection was great, the shipping was cheap and fast, and the customer service was very commendable.

I found great customer service through Rock/Creek's online store (Thanks especially to Charles and Brooke!!!). Placing multi-product orders can be risky, but my order was perfect and on time. I will certainly shop with Rock/Creek again.

I purchased a gift ($340) and paid extra to have it sent overnight.  I received it 8 days later and the correspondence and customer service was poor.  No compensation and no label to return the item (i.e. Altrec, Zappos and Amazon).  So it will end costing me a good chunk of change only to have it not arrive on time and then to return it (I had to purchase it locally at REI).

I understand the economy is pinching these small distributors, but don't pinch your customer.

Also, felt the customer service was a little used car salesmen- like.  I had to document all the correspondence just to keep them from using some sleezy techniques just to get off the hook for not keeping their word.

Horrible experience. Ordered two bags from there website, three days later they call me and tell me they are sold out. A week later my girlfriend orders something from them, they email her only one day later this time and tell her its sold out. One of the worst companies on the internet.

Would not shop here again. Non-responsive customer service. I ordered a new jacket, but received a used one instead. Although the price was low, it was never labelled as being a used product. I tried to contact customer service 2x, no response. At least they accepted the product return.
