Fast processing but not necessarily what the client wants.is done

They handled the claim very quickly, but i felt that they should have replaced the item and not just refunded the money. They would not replace the item and only offered a refund, minus the shipping charges that came out of the refund. I do think that they did a good job processing the claim and getting me my money however, they should offer to replace the damaged item. My Ipod would not work properly but instead of replacing my Ipod or giving me another Ipod they merely offered to give me my money back. They sent a UPS label but later billed me for it, so that was taken out of my refund which i don't think it should have been.

Each step took longer than expected or that Square Trade indicated it would. The packaging took over an extra week to arrive. I received an email that seemed to indicate that my item was being repaired. After twice the indicated time had passed I had to inquire to find out what was happening.
Customer Service was excellent once contacted they settled my claim for the full amount. No shipping costs were deducted, I guess as partial compensation for all my waiting.

HELP!!!!!!!

I purchased the Square trade ins. and I was very excited, but right about now I'm very disappointed in not getting my Bar code for my IPHONE replacement it's been almost 2 months and I feel I need compensation for the not having my replacement and being Overcharged on my credit card for a wrongful fee( which they correct but causing me to be overcharged on my limit, the heartache, the emotionally headaches that I have been enduring it's a bit much. What a disappointment! Excess to Manufacturer Warranty.

Disappointed to discover that Square Trade would not honor the warranty I purchased on my Motorola cell phone because the phone was still under manufacturer's warranty. True enough that the SqTr warranty contract excludes repairs or replacement covered by the manufacturer, but I could only see the contract AFTER I purchased the warranty, and I only discovered the exclusion when I submitted a warranty claim. The only reason I purchased the Square Trade warranty is because I was expecting that the Square Trade warranty would save me from the labyrinthine process for submitting an item to Motorola for repair.

I bought a used laptop from ebay and purchased square trade with the thoughts that if anything happened to it, it would be covered. Well, I would be wrong. Getting in touch with them was a bit of a pain, but I could live with that. The "team" getting back with you is a pain. I lived with both. After they have had my "used" computer for almost a week with no word on it, I call again to check the status. They tell me they cannot cover it because some liquid has been spilled on it. No one is my house spilled anything on it. But how can you argue this point? The screen just stopped working, everything else was lighting up on the display. So, I get my money back for the square trade, but am out money on the laptop only after a few short months. I will not do the square trade option again.

I bought the accidental handling insurance for my I-phone and when I washed it by mistake they did not cover it. They said I had to have it in my hand when the accident occurred. Make sure when you make a claim for liquid damage that it is truly an accidient while you are handling the item. I pointed out that this was not in the details of the warranty, but they disagreed.

"Absoluty do not use them! I filed a claim for a camera that was only three months old. Filed the claim on-line and reveived a response within a second. Sorry we can't help you. I own three warranties by them. My first claim. I will NEVER spend another dime for square trade. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!"

Slow to repair

Purchased new Dacor built-in Coffee System and Square Trade warranty Two months after 1 yr factory warranty expired we are now dealing with trying to get the item repaired using our extended warranty.
I'll give them an E for effort but a D- on getting it repaired. Its been a month and two service calls latter and I'm still with out the use of my appliance and no idea if and when it will be fixed. The customer service reps don't seem to feel any sense of urgency on getting the item repaired, guess they don't drink coffee.....
Do your self a favor and save yourself from the headaches and buy the extended FACTORY warranty for any item that is serviced in your home. It may cost more but you won't have to deal with a third party.
Update: 11/24/08
Refunded purchase price of item. Still recommend buying mfgr extended warranty on any large built-in appliance. Doing so will ensure the appliance is repaired. I now have an empty kitchen cabinet with no appliance, and am out the cost of the original SquareTrade Warranty. I will now have to repurchase another extended warranty on what ever I purchase to replace it with.

Disappointing and of no value

My experience with Square Trade very disappointing. They facilitated an agreement with Remote Superstore to refund my purchase price for a product that the online seller described as "new" when it was obviously used. I returned the item at my expense to Remote Superstore. Square Trade removed the negative feedback from eBay but I did not get the refund. Square Trade indicated that I would have to go to court to collect the refund. Remote Superstore ended up with my money, the product and my comments removed from eBay. Square Trade was counterproductive in the transaction.

I recently purchases a "New" moto q from sqaretrade off of ebay and i was sent a dead battery, I contacted Sqaure trade and the gentelmen said that warrantey, I purchased does not cover batteries, he said for me to go out and buy a new battery, and that fine that the warranty does not cover batteries, but why should i go out and buy a new battery, when the one they sent me was faulty from the start, after all it was supposed to be a new phone!!!!!

Verry bad experiance. I purchased a warranty on a cell phone, the cell phone quit working and they would not stand behind it because it failed before it was 60 days old. The original warranty expired after 30 days and I paid them for a 2 year warranty. They were verry unhelpful and I got nothing from them. I have nothing good to say about my experiance

Terrible Customer service.
Did not cover my MP3 player because they said it had a cracked screen. They must have been using an electron microscope to see the crack, because everyone I showed it to could not.
In the past, I have used N.E.W for warranty coverage and they covered my son's MP3 player even though I could see a crack in the screen.
They closed my claim without ever calling me or emailing me.
Never again.

Guaranteed Fraud

I have purchased several items on eBay recently and shortly thereafter received emails from the seller advising me that I had better get a warranty from SquareTrade to protect my purchase. These emails were signed by the seller, had the seller's eBay name in the return address, and were written as though the seller was recommending I pay SquareTrade for a warranty or my purchase was at risk.
This was especially annoying since some of the items were listed as including a warranty with the purchase.
After a little digging, and some correspondence with the sellers in each case, I found out the the seller DID NOT send these emails, and had no knowledge of them. These were emails sent by SquareTrade spoofing the seller's email address. THAT IS FRAUD. My purchases came with warranties from the seller and the recommendation that I must buy additional protection was untrue and a lie perpetrated by SquareTrade.
SOOOOO.. if *that* is how SquareTrade operates, you can draw your own conclusions as to what their warranties are worth.
I have reported them the the California State Attorney General for deliberate consumer fraud.

Warrantee on Ebay items not good until after 60 days

I bought a video card off Ebay that was refurbished. Seller indicated no warrantee but suggested SquareTrade. I bought the Sqauretrade warrantee. Video card worked for about two weeks then died. Took it to a computer shop to verify the problem. Filed a claim with Squaretrade. Was told warrantee not good until after 60 days of use. So I am out the purchase price of the video card. After further complaint, SquareTrade offered to cancel my warrantee and refund my money. Whats the use of having a warrantee if it doesn't provide full coverage.
