Ordered my magazine subscription on 12/6/04 - they didn't even bother to send the order to the New Yorker until 2/15/05!! Expected delivery date of my first issue is 3/07/05 - In anyone's book that is lousy, slow service! Had I known they would drag their feet, collect my money and do NOTHING for over two months, I certainly would have NEVER bothered to do business with them! Read their policies - it's Buyer Beware! I ordered Consumer Reports on 17 JUN 2009; my card was billed immediately, of course! On 02 SEP I phoned Consumer Reports and they STILL had no record of my subscription. Sent E-mail to SuperMagDeals on 02 SEP. As of 05 SEP, no response.

I made the mistake of ordering my New Yorker subscription through supermagdeals. They said it would take 12-16 weeks. At 16 weeks I emailed the company and they said I might get it sometime in May. Still not here yet. I tried to get a refund but they would allow that. I could not be more sorry that I tried to save a few dollars by ordering from them instead of directly from the New Yorker.

The things that work at SuperMagDeals.com are:

- They will take your money really fast
- you will, eventually, get your magazine, but be prepared to wait 2 months - delivery speed is abysmal

However, what does not work at all:
- Checking your order status online returns a cryptic "system error" message
- Two-year subscriptions: DO NOT ORDER ANY TWO YEAR SUBSCRIPTION from this site! I guess once they have your money you're chopped liver to them. The second year of my New Yorker subscription is now MIA for over 3 months, and I am waiting for this to be resolved.

In summary, a bad experience, and mine is not the only one.
I am, quite frankly, suspicious of the many very positive, no-problem-whatsoever evals on the merchant. Maybe the customer support of SuperMagDeals.com sends in evaluations to epinion and similar sites rather than answer the complaints of real customers.

I ordered a renewal of TV Guide over ten weeks ago. It's not renewed yet and my phone call and emails have not been answered.

I ordered two years of the New Yorker and only got one year. I have written customer support five or six times and they always say they are in the process of fixing it. But so far I have not seen my second year.

Sad.

After reading all of the reviews here, I was a little hesitant, but SuperMagDeals offered "Backpacker" magazine for far less than I could get it anywhere else. So I figured, what the heck? At worst, I'd be out $25 (for the three-magazine package). A subscription of Backpacker runs about $20 normally. So I subscribed to "Backpacker," "Self" and "Outdoor Photographer."

"Self" arrived within 3 weeks. "Outdoor Photographer" followed the next week. And "Backpacker" about two weeks later. All within the 4-6 weeks that the website promised (and industry standard for monthly magazines).

I couldn't be more pleased. I'm planning to order more magazines in the future. The 4 subscriptions for $30 package is a great deal.(That's about the cost of 4 single issues of most magazines at the grocery store.) The selection of the 4-magazine package isn't as good at the 3-package. And really popular more expensive magazines (like Oprah, InStyle, Vogue) may be found cheaper elsewhere. But this is a great place to shop for most magazines.

I purchased the New Yorker from supermagdeals.com. It arrived 5 weeks later, earlier than i expected. I made some mistakes with the information I provided for them and when I realized the problem I IMed them and got live help to fix it. They processed my order within 2 days and supplied an expected delivery date. Overall I am very satisfied and would shop here again.

I wish I would of viewed this website before ordering. I ordered Robb Report on March 5, 2007 I still have not seen 1 issue as of August 10, 2007 I think more appropriate name SuperMagScam.com
terrible service--I've learned my lesson--

I ordered two subscriptions as gifts, both for OK! magazine at $22.89 each. That was on 4/2/07. It's now 6/21/07 and still no magazines have ever shown up at my friend's homes. I will never use this service again, ever!!

Buyers beware!!

I placed an order on Sept. 5th, they charged my credit card on Sept. 7th. It is now December 17th and the New Yorker (a gift subscription) has not been delivered. An e-mail I wrote to them 12 days ago was answered today, saying the subscription will begin between Jan. 12th and Jan. 30th, and referred me to their website where it says that weekly subscriptions will generally begin 4-6 weeks after they are placed, as though that somehow explained the 4 month delay.... Never again. I am protesting to my credit card company and ordering directly from the New Yorker.
