I found the very piece of furniture that I was looking for online at the Target website, and discovered that it was not available in any store but was only for purchase through the website. I love Target and have always found their services to be excellent, so I purchased it and was very satisfied with the entire transaction... no problems whatsoever. This is a rather large piece of furniture and it was delivered quickly and arrived in excellent condition.

I purchased an item listed as in stock from Target.com on Nov 26. To date (Jan 13), I have yet to receive it. This exceeds the estimated ship date by several weeks now. When I called and inquired about the delivery status, the customer service representative could provide no specific information. Further, I received an email about two week later, asking me to agree to extend delivery until mid-March although the item is readily available on the Internet from other vendors as well as in many retail stores, including Target. As a result, I am completely dissatisfied with service from Target.com. And I do not recommend this vendor; buy elsewhere.

Fast, easy, and at a good price

I've shopped at Target's online store about five times, and every time has been very easy and quick for me. There is an awesome selection of items available online, especially if you're looking for things that aren't available in stores. The shipping time is very quick, and the prices are quite good. They also have specials and discounts which are good incentives to shop online. I've always gotten exactly what I ordered, and it arrived in perfect condition and as it was represented and described on the website.

Poor Customer service, poor delivery time, say clear

completely dissatisfied with Target online. although ordering was easy, receiving the purchase in a timely manner is not. ordered an item on Dec 8, received tracking info on the Dec 14th, tracking showed no movement from warehouse until Dec 20th still has not arrived as of Dec 23. contacted Customer service several times during this process and received canned responses stating that the package was sent out on the 14th....poor poor poor. Certainly not a good experience

I recently attempted to browse the Target website for Leapfrog toys. I was disappointed with the lack of selection of Leapfrog toys, as well as the overall selection of toys. My search quickly ended at Target, and I went on to another website!

I was looking for job applications when I went to www.target.com to see if they had online applications available (they do for those of you wanting to know), but while I was there I started looking around. I found that the Target online store, has started using consumer ratings! The same thing that I frequently use epinions for was right there sponsored by and those that have purchased the product at the store right there!

After reading through the consumer ratings, I changed my mind about what vacuum I would be buying and since Target's online store was such a useful tool in making this determination I'll probably wind up buying the unit at Target itself.

I can't speak to the delivery, speed of service, order accuracy etc, but I can say that Target's online store cut my shopping research time into at least half. I haven't yet gone to pick up the vacuum that I believe would best suit me, but I believe that after reading the consumer ratings I feel more confident in my choice. I hope you will as well.

Beware the worst return policy ever.

Target and Target.com have a great selection of quality products. Ordering is easy. But wow, what a horrible return policy. When I recently received two M&M figurines of the same color from Target, I tried to simply exchange for a new color. No can do. Even exchanges without a receipt are not accepted at Target. Thats right, you cant even EXCHANGE an item without a receipt. Indeed for Christmas, Birthdays, etc, this is a problem. I was finally offered 25 cents on the dollar towards my exchange of my $10 M&M toy. I rejected the offer on principal. Target is off the list of places to shop for me until they can get a return policy even close to industry standards instead of the worst policy in the business.

VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! Would not shop here again...EVER...

Last time, when I bought a heater, they sent me a wrong one. A target store wouldn't take it back. They said the item I got only worth half the price. I had to ship back to Target.com to get my money back. It took them a while to refund my money.

This time, since it's been a while, I thought I would give them another try. I thought maybe that time I got unlucky. It happened again!!! When I took the item to the store to return it, they said the item I got was a wrong item and it worth only 1/3 of the price I paid for.

Now, I have a feeling, they keep sending a similar item which could worth much less so that they would profit more. If they get caught, then they get caught, but no lost to them...

Very DISHONEST store!!!!!!

I was excited to have a chance to get what I wanted from Target in the comfort of my own home, so I used Target.direct to order a present. On the advertisement, the item I bought (total spa kit from Homedics) said it was available online only. So I ordered it. Lo and behold I was at Super Target yesterday and saw THE SAME EXACT ITEM for $20 less in the store! I contacted customer service to see if they would remedy the false advertising they had done and basically got an email denying any responsibility. I will NEVER use Target online again.

No small orders, shipping costs too high.

I ordered a small shelf unit to hang on the wall in my bathroom that cost $44.99 BUT.....the shipping cost was $25.00!!! I cancelled my order because of the high shipping cost.   Does Target really want to sell online???  Other big online companies do not charge these unreasonable rates and many ship for free.  Target's criteria for reduced or free shipping is next to impossible to meet; too restricted.

I recently had an online shopping experience that I have to tell everyone about! I ordered a lotion pump from target.com (95% of all non-grocery items are purchased online for me since I live on the Big Island in Hawaii and my shopping options are: Walmart or KMart or Costco. NOne of which are closer than 10 miles to me.) I find it easier to just order online. I digress... I ordered a lotion pump from Target and within a month it wasn't looking too pretty. I don't know if I just got a faulty one but it started corroding... it would have been silly for me to ship it back to them having already paid shipping to me, it would be fiscally wiser to say nothing. I emailed them and offered to email them photos of the corroding item... they emailed me back - within 4 hours!!! - that they would simply issue me a refund. Wow. I loved them before, now they have my loyalty too!

More from lack of other options than any particular preference, I shop at local Target stores regularly. I have only purchased one item from the online store, and it was such a positive experience, I felt like I should review it here.

The item I wanted to purchase (a garden rocker to use for weeding) was only available online. Due to the fact that I recently set up a wedding registry on Target.com, I frequently receive emails concerning sales, etc. When I received a 10% off offer via email, I decided that would cover shipping, so I decided to buy it. I placed the order on a weekday afternoon and it was delivered to my door the next afternoon. I was quite surprised by the extremely fast delivery time. I doubt all items would ship that quickly, but this particular one came in near-record time, in perfect condition, and was exactly what I anticipated.

Paying shipping is always a negative for me, but I would recommend shopping at this site, particularly if the item is not available in a local store.

I ordered Christmas presents for my kids on Nov. 14. I had problems with Target.com being able to process my order. For 4 WEEKS my order trickled in. During that time I continuously got emails from Target.com telling me that various items would be delayed (some it said wouldn't be delivered until January!). 5 WEEKS after placing the order I'm still missing an item. I will never order from them again.

Frustrating and worthless

I ordered a ladder and was sent a mountain bike! Resolving the problem online or via 800# was frustrating and worthless. Now I get to waste more time, gas, and money Saturday morning driving to Home Depot for a ladder… then off to a Target store to hassle with the "return" and credit.
