Wedding Registry is easy! Free Shipping was really fast!

I bought a couple of items on Target.com for my Brother-In-Law's wedding gift. The Wedding Registry was very easy to shop with. Both items (a blender and an indoor grill) were sent with Free shipping. They received the items in less than a week. Great on line Shopping experience!!!

Expensive but convenient, watch out for return policy

I ordered several items for our Lullaby Lane registry from the on-line store. Items arrived accurately and it was very convenient for folks to purchase items on-line for us, although the prices on some items were much higher than items in the store. Also there wasn't a lot of apparel online, nor items like crib mattresses. Also, make sure any returns are tied to your registry. I returned more than $450 worth of items (we had twins, folks, and duplicate everything) and received a store credit, but they didn't tie it to my registry number, they tied it to my drivers' license number. Opps. Now I'm banned from returning items without a receipt to any Target for one year. They didn't tell me they were going to do this, either. Based on that experience I'm not shopping on any Target sites or in any Target store.

I recently bought a 14.4 volt cordless drill from Target. The brand name on the drill, "Duralast" is apparently an in-house brand and not sold anywhere but at Target stores. My problem with the drill came when I went to recharge the battery. Apparently the charger unit did not turn off like it was supposed to when the full charge was complete. As a result of this the battery and the charger both overheated. This not only wrecked the battery, it disabled the charger as well. thinking I could just buy another battery and charger I went to Target's website. Not only was it almost impossible to even find Duralast tools, the website offered no options for customer support. The site even indicated that while they sold Duralast tools, they don't sell Duralast cordless drills. So, now I have a perfectly good drill that is completely useless. The lesson? Buy well known brand name power tools. They provide good customer support and spare parts for their products. Target does not.

A true customer service & product nightmare

I bought two sets ($79.99 ea) of Tracy Porter dishes at the Target.com site. The shipping was on time. The dishes chipped the first time they were used. I emailed target.com and got the answer that they were "unreturnable". I never found out why they are "unreturnable", so now I am stuck with dinnerware that is chipped on every rim possible. I learned my lesson, have you.

Fake! High S/H! Bad Communication!

I paid $32.00 for shipping only to learned 3 days later that the order I placed is delay. (As I type, the website still show this item as SHIP within 24 hours! Liar!)

They don't give explanation of the delay. They don't accept cancellation. They tell you to refuse the package with the mailman. (But they can't tell you when the order will be shipped) It's not my responsibility to try to catch the mailman before he drops off my package. They suggested I should quit my job or what !?!?!

Poor customer care, not supportive of troops overseas

I am working overseas in the Balkans and have a hard time finding household items as I am used to over here. I found some of the items on Target, but couldn't get them to ship these particular items over here, we're talking about a set of drawer knobs, fabric storage cubes, cheap wristwatches, and a leather laptop bag. I emailed them an inquiry and was sent a generic response. "some items are hazardous. . . some items are oversized or overweight" etc, etc. Nothing that applied to the question I asked. There are a lot of merchants that will ship to APO addresses no questions asked because it is an American address. As an American company, you'd think they'd do a better job of supporting the troops overseas.

Target.com is a fraud. I bought the Cedar 5' Classic Swing for $248. There was no indication in the ad as well as the text to indicate that I would get only the swing (no frame, canopy included). Notice that the only picture of the item includes the full set. When I received my order, I saw only the swing. Then I realized that I had to buy frame and canopy separately. That cost me another $363. With the swing order, I didn't have to pay the shipping & handling, but I had to pay the s&h for the extra items. I consider this cheating. I will never purchase another item from this site or brick & mortar store again. Kumar.

I did some shopping on-line and decided to see what Target had to offer. Since Target usually have things for less, I figured I won't lose anything by just looking around. I found some cute tank tops and some CDs and ordered them, but the total price didn't come up later, when the order was already placed and the card was charged. The shipping price was way too high and it didn't even arrive on time.

I will never order from Target online again! I ordered some clothing for my vacation and since it was so close to the time I was leaving, I had it shipped 2-day air for an astronomical amount (around $18). It did not even leave the warehouse until 2 days after I placed my order. I did not have my package for almost a week after the order was placed and I didn't have it for vacation. I also had problems awhile ago ordering furniture from Target online. The prices in the store were much lower and the online prices were way higher. I ended up ordering in the store and carting all this outdoor furniture home in my small car (in 3 trips).

I am extremely disappointed in Target. I ordered a lamp over 2 months ago. I am not able to cancel the order. They have not shipped the order. I just keep getting an e-mail every 2 weeks stating that the item has been delayed. There's no reason for the delay. And again, I am not able to cancel the order.

In all honestly, I shop online a lot. I am a working mother of 2 little girls. I don't have much time to go shopping. When we do go shopping, we are loyal Target shoppers. But again, not much time. So I wanted to keep that loyalty by shopping online.

But whenever I am on a site (amazon.com) and they say the item will ship from Target, I purposely do not choose that item. I will not shop at Target Online again.

1. Never received item.
2. No way to cancel item, even though it was never shipped.
3. No explanation.

Bad customer service.

I purchased 2 bath rugs that started looking shabby and the edging was fraying after just one month. I went to Target to return them (since I considered them defective and they were on sale for $40). They will not accept anything that is considered "used". I asked "what if I purchased a blouse that I wore one and it ripped?" The reply was "if it's used, we don't take it back!" I've NEVER hear of a worse return policy and insisted that I speak with a manager. The manager was contacted via walkie talkie and eventually said I could exchange the rugs for the same thing. I did this (knowing that the rugs would do wear).
Within a month, I went back with my rugs (tags still on) and returned them!

Shopping at target; incredibly easy.

The delivery speed was wonderful, just three days after I purchased my items they were right at my door. The order accuracy was a little off, and there was not any customer service that I knew of, but other than that I am incredibly satisfied. The ordering was easy and the items were clearly marked and photographed. I could see and understand what was purchased. I am very pleased with this site.

A HUGE HASSLE

I get the idea that when I am dealing with Target.com I am dealing with a huge, massive, extremely inefficient machine. Every time, and I mean EVERY TIME I have ordered, I have received items late. When the items did come, they were packaged very badly, often busting out of their boxes. When you call them on the phone, they will tell you an entirely different story than what is on their website. Expect long delays, and lots of back ordering if you decide to shop from this site. It is too big, offers too much stuff (low quality stuff at that) and is obviously mismanaged.
