I had never heard of The Popcorn Factory until several months ago I started receiving their catalogs. I thought it would be a good place to order some gifts, so I decided to go online to http://www.thepopcornfactory.c

since I had a promotional code...
How did the Popcorn Factory ensure that I'll never order from them again? Let me count the ways: 1. My order arrived 4 days late. 2. It arrived in the wrong colored tin. 3. Its contents were not what I ordered. 4. There was no way to effectively ...
Like the previous posters, I should have read these reviews before placing an order with The Popcorn Factory. I placed this order on July 13. My daughter's birthday is July 17 and she is in Massachusetts. After placing the order over the phone, and ...
After reviewing their irresistible (for a popcorn lover) catalogs over the months, I have made 2 orders from them recently. The first one was off an Email promo for Halloween closeout merchandise; I ordered 2 Halloween assortment tins and they arrived ...
My experience was horrendous. We ordered a ST. Nick basket on Dec. 8th to be given by our business as a raffle prize to one of our customers. I called on the 18th to find out where it was and was told it was in Las Vegas, Nevada - we are located in ...
While I have had very good experiences with many etailers, The Popcorn Factory is the exception to this rule. Their customer service sets a new low that is laughably bad. I tried to place an order for business gifts in early December. I kept getting ...
Great Experience - On time delivery and YUMMY by paulaparr ,Jan 26 '07
I had a good experience with this company. I ordered a popcorn treat tin to take with me on vacation. I set a future date that I wanted the item shipped to me and it was there on the date specified. The popcorn itself was yummy and my kids loved the treat. It's a perfect addition to movie night, family gatherings or for the late night snack!
Terrible business ethics and customer service. by klsass ,Jan 06 '08
I wish I had read these reviews before I ordered from them. Basically the same experience. Items I ordered at the beginning of December for Christmas gifts were no longer available on the day they were to be delivered. And the notification consisted of a phone call on the day they were to be delivered. The second item that was supposed to be delivered on the very next day they told me about when I called them about the first order. Very professional. And when I tried to change the order and compensate for what was out of stock, everything I tried was no longer available. I guess placing an order almost a month ahead of time does not guarantee getting your items. Poor customer service, rude. Very slow response to e-mails sent. I will not shop there again.
WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN - WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER by pamrohrer ,Sep 11 '07
I placed an order with The Popcorn Factory on 8/9 to be delivered on 8/15. My credit card was charged on 8/11. When it was not delivered by 8/16, I called and was told it was on back order. I canceled the order on 8/16 and was told that I would not receive a refund until 8/31. I finally received a refund on 9/5 for the item only and am still waiting to receive a refund for the shipping charges and a greeting card ordered with the item. As of today, 9/11, I have very little hope of receiving the additional ~$20.00. I would normally write off the immaterial amount; however, I am so angry with the customer service I received from this company that I am writing a review on all sites possible.
Terrible customer service--changing merchandise without authorization. This outfit needs to be reported to the BBB. by seattle13 ,Jan 15 '07
I wish I had checked this site BEFORE placing my holiday order with The Popcorn Factory. My experience was much the same as others here -- I ordered five large popcorn tins as holiday gifts. Now I want to call and make sure everyone got what I had ordered. I know that the one I ordered for myself was in the wrong tin. A quick call to customer service further infuriated me. A terrible attitude, "So what do you want me to do about it? We can't take it back and we ran out of the tin you wanted." A very flippant, sarcastic customer service rep who referred me onto the 'manager' who had an ever nastier attitude.
I'll tell you what I'll do about it -- never order from The Popcorn Factory again and I'll also advise friends, family members and business associates to steer clear. At their prices -- close to $35-40 a tin, the order should be 100% as ordered -- no substitutions without consent!!
DECEPTIVE AND DISAPPOINTING by mary310 ,Dec 15 '08
BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN ORDERING. DISCOUNTS AND ADS CAN BE DECEPTIVE. When trying to redeem discount codes you may find your order doesn't qualify. And p.s. you will find your discount not applied AFTER you have given your credit card for payment. CURRENTLY IT IS 20% OFF $100 ORDER.
Failure in all categories: order accuracy, delivery speed, customer service! by cnk20 ,Dec 28 '05
Failure in all categories!
order accuracy: Of 4 orders, had 1 incorrect address. Staff seemed unaware of shipping procedures to Canada.
delivery speed: Original order was made on 16 Dec.
Order was promised to be delivered before Christmas. Orders were never shipped, even after follow-up calls to inquire about order status.
customer service: Poorly trained staff - no shipping confirmation or tracking info was sent, as promised. On follow-up calls to inquire about order status, different "reasons" were given why orders were not shipped. Repeatedly had to mention order was going to Canada. Staff did not seem to be aware of where Canada was!
overall satisfaction: Completely dissatisfied. Will not do business with this business again.
I have been a good customer of the popcorn factory for years until today! I was ordering on the web and the site was a mess...they have special promotions that are false and their customer service stinks..This is a great place to buy if you don't have any special needs or require customer service. I will not be using them again.
I am amazed that a company this inept has managed to stay in business. To say i had a botched oder is an understatement. The fact that costumer service continually blamed FedEx and then later "the Post Office" would have been comical Had I not been on the phone (mostly on hold) for over 45 minutes. When i finally demanded to be called back on this debacle, I was told, "If you get off the phone, my calls will keep coming in and I won't be able to do anything". Really? Merchandise is sitting in the wrong state and no one can find out what happened unless I tie up your phone line? Horrendous.
