I bought a Garmin Nuvi 260 based on the rating here of 4 checks.
Item was in stock according to website. Clearly stated delivered in 2-3 days. After placing order I didn't hear from them again. I ordered 4 weeks before Christmas and I never got it, this was a present for my wife. TigerGPS totally ignored me and responded (sometimes) to my phone calls and emails like I was some crazy irritating customer.
So I finally got it with no apologies after I tried to cancel order 2 times.
I don't know what kind of games or business TigerGPS is running, but I will NEVER buy from these crooks again.

I had the same experience as tsteele93. I ordered a TomTom GO on Saturday the 11th. On Tuesday, when I hadn't heard anything about the order, I called. I was told they were getting more stock in and it would ship the next day. I called the next day and was promised it would be here by Friday. It's now Friday and they say it would ship Monday or Tuesday next week. Nevermind that, I cancelled the order.
This was incredibly deceptive since they website said (and still says) that the item is in stock!
Their ratings on Yahoo Shopping are very good, and I trusted those ratings before placing this order. Never again.
Beware of TigerGPS.com. I ordered a GPS and paid for 2 day shipping and received the product after 4. I E-mailed customer service for twice with no response.

I purchased the Garmin Nuvi 255W with 2 leather cases. Prices were fair, but it was a new product that few others merchants had in stock. I ordered the product then read all the horrible reviews about the company so I had some buyers remorse. I got an email about a problem with my order and I thought that the games were about to begin as I had read about. But it was only a billing address issue as I had recently moved and my credit card change of address had not processed yet. The products were all shipped out same day and I am very pleased with the company and the products.
Customer service wasn't all that great as they weren't very polite on the phone. But they did resolve my issue.

Do your research before you buy from Tigergps.
The three GPS units I looked at from three different manufacturers had a retail price that was way over what the actual MSRP was. (up to $100 in one case) Their supposedly lower price was equal to or slightly lower than the actual retail.
Ordered 3 accessories for my GPS. Terrible customer service. Took my order and then a couple of days later sent me an e-mail saying one of the items was on back order and it would take a couple more days. A couple of days later I did an on-line chat with a Customer Service Representative that would respond every 4 or 5 minutes and told me that my order would ship in another 2-3 days. Later the same day I contacted them and they e-mailed me that my order would probably go out by Sept. 15 (approx two weeks from the date I ordered the stuff). I have e-mailed them to cancel the order and hope they do so. No honest company takes an order for a product they dont have and strings a customer along for a week or more. I could have ordered from one of their competitors and had my order by now. TigerGPS dropped the ball. I would not recommend doing business with them.

Will never shop here again. Have been lied to repeatedly. Ordered a GPS unit 6 weeks ago and have yet to receive it after being told it will be shipped in a couple days or next week. Was told they get the units directly from Magellan. Called Magellan and found out that was a lie. Item was listed as "In Stock" the day I ordered and has since changed to "Ships in 2-3 days", but that was 2 wks ago. Claim on their website that your CC will not be charged until shipped. Mine was charged immediately.

Terrible company to order from. I paid overnight shipping for a birthday present - was not delivered. Spoke to a customer service rep named Vince and a supervisor named Mike. Very RUDE and both of them hung up on me. The supervisor stated that TigerGPS didn't care if they had my business at all.

I would NOT do business with TigerGPS. Their customer service is clueless. There was a problem that neither of us caused and they refused to help when they had the chance. Buy it somewhere else even if you have to pay a few bucks more, you'll be happier... believe me.
I had a rather disappointing experience too. First gps order went fine, but the second time they just did not ship my order (gps+map) thinking I've made a mistake (but did not tell me anything), and then refused to send internationally (on their expense) so that I could get it when needed.
order was put on back order with a possible shipping date. called them 2 days after ahipping date and they didnt know when it would be shipped I was leaving on vac. in 5 days. cancelled order. Should have been told by email order was going to be longer. Read more
