We ordered Icebreaker long underwear, and TravelCountry was by far the least expensive store that I found on the webiste.  The prices were so low that I actually wondered whether the company was legitimate.   The shipping was free because we ordered over $50, and it was fast.  We received the product in three business days.  There was also great communication regarding confirmation of order, as well as the date the product was shipped.  In addition to free shipping and low prices, we also got a free subscription to Outside Magazine for 1 year.  The confirmation of our order also states that you can choose a rebate instead of the Outside Magazine, and you just need to let them know within thirty days of placing order. I would definitely recommend this company, and while it looks like a few people may have had problems, we had a great shopping experience.  

HORRIBLE!!! The products on their website do not reflect the products in their stock. I attempted to purchase shoes for my daughter, which their website showed, they had only one pair left in her size. I called asking when I could expect the order to ship, only to receive an email stating the order was cancelled because they 'were still looking for the item'. I was offered '30% off of your next regularly priced, similar gear purchase', which I thought was a load of crap. Thanks for my waste of time and their lack of resources to make sure they have up to date information.

Travel Country has been OUTSTANDING.  After a stock/inventory error, the folks over at Travel Country worked with me personally for over one month to ensure that I received EXACTLY what I was looking for.  Definitely one of the best online retailers of outdoor gear I've ever had the pleasure of doing business with and I will continue in the future with this level of service.

Travel Country contacted me by phone after the error occurred and offered to do whatever they could to find the out of stock item, even if they had to purchase from another retailer.  Even after certain sizes did not fit, I was sent additional sizes to try on and this continued until I found a size that fit perfectly.  This is the first online retailer that has ever done this for me personally, by actually calling me on the phone to ensure that I was happy with my order.  I wish other retailers would do this, but I'm glad Travel Country does!


They do truly care about their customers and I would recommend them to anyone out there looking for a true "mom and pop" online experience.

Ordered a Polar fleece jacket from Travelcountry.com that was listed as being in stock and available for purchase. Received confirmation email the order was indeed processed. Several days passed and I received an email from TravelCountry that I would have to wait 3 to 8 weeks for shipment! Travelcountry certainly appears to be selling items that are not in stock to generate business in advance and leave the customer hanging out to dry in the process...

I am totally pleased with my experience with Travel Country.  I was searching some other stores for a North Face jacket for my son, and Travel Country offered, by far, the best deal: The price was unbeatable ($40), and no shipping or tax were charged.  The store offers free shipping if you spend more than $50, so I added some Camelbak water bottles for my kids, which were also on sale.  I placed the order last Saturday and the package was delivered yesterday, exactly when they said it would, and with free shipping I think that was great.  The package was simply a plastic envelope, but that is fine since nothing in it was breakable.
I don't understand other people giving this site bad reviews.  Those bad reviews made me doubt to buy from this vendor, but I decided to give it a try and I am so glad I did.
I know in the future I would buy from them again.  Actually, my son's jacket turned out to be so nice that I think I will buy one for myself. Great store, I would totally recommend it.

The whole experience was very efficient. I did not have any interaction with anyone verbally. I was sent an email with all my particular info with an invitation to email or phone if there were any questions. There weren't any. The item was in stock, the tracking number was good, I knew where it was. The price was great, the shipping was cheap...Hey!!
I'm impressed.

I was attracted to TravelCountry because of the rock bottom price they offered on the sleeping bag I wanted ... less than half price. I ordered it, then I stumbled across the Epinions reviews slamming them for bad customer service. I got a little worried.

The box showed up on time though, and the correct sleeping bag was inside. So no complaints!

Other customers' experience notwithstanding, I got what I wanted from TravelCountry and if the price is right, would use them again.
