I've only used Valore books this once, but i would definitely use them again. Even though I used their standard shipping method which says 7-10 days (business days, which means 2 weeks) I received my book only four days after ordering it. It was an international edition (mine was an India edition) with a completely different cover. But I was relieved that the description I read before buying was true. Everything was the same front to back including chapter order, pictures, exercises, and work problems. The only difference was it was black and white instead of color. I didn't need or care about color and I saved a hundred dollars off what i would've paid for it new at my school. Thanks for the great service!!!

Wow these guys ship quickly! I wasn't expecting to receive my book for several days when it showed up on my door step. The book was brand new and exactly what I needed. I would certainly recommend this seller.

Fraudulent Experience!! I always order books, music etc. from Half.com and have had great success and timely refunds when necessary. However, I took a chance and ordered a cheaper book from Valore Books. BIG mistake. The book was over $50. Within three days I received notification that my order was shipped and the money was taken from my bank account. Three weeks later, still no book. I sent an email to seller...no response. I sent and email to Valore...no response. I called and talked to a representative who assured me I'd get a refund and email within 48 hours. Four days later I am not surprised to have received neither an email or refund. Then today they had the nerve to send me an email asking me to rate my experience!!! A great example of very poor management. I will never buy here again and am reporting this company to my state Attorney General's Office for bad business. I suggest everyone else do the same in their states.

Ordered a book I thought was new, WHen I got the book it was in horrible condition, the binding had wear on it, the front had creases and scratches, pages inside had creases, this book looked to have been abused. When they sold it the book there was no indication that this book had been used. When I asked for a refund they told me "no and that is what I should expect when I buy a used book. i will never do business with this web site again.

Horrible experience. Valore was quick to withdraw funds for books that "had shipped" yet one vendor did not place books in the mail for 7 days. 1 of 4 books arrived and is not as described....very worn, torn binding, highlighted....not the typical used book from the campus bookstore.

Do not use them. I purchased 2 books from them. Books where listed as new and it had highlights. Book stated International edition but exactly as the US edition it was not true, information is different. Contacted them via phone and email to no avail. Never got a call back, never got an email back. Attempted to contact the seller with same results, nothing.

Ended up contacting my credit card company and canceling the purchase.

I don't recommend ValoreBooks.com.  I ordered a book through ValoreBooks because of the good ratings I read but I still haven't received the book even after paying for priority shipping.  I called customer service and the representatives there are unprofessional and put me on hold to answer a simple questions such as "what is your e-mail address?" Save yourself the headache and go with a different business.

Valorebooks.com has a powerful search engine and it was very easy finding the books I needed. There is a good selection of sellers to choose from and there is sufficient space for each dealer to give a detailed account of the item's condition and optional shipping selections. The checkout and status tracking process was functional enough to be useful. At times, the website would hang and require a "Reload" of the webpage to continue. Especially when attempting to leave feedback for a seller.

From my buyer's perspective, this was a very easy transaction. I was fortunate to have purchased from a good seller who was very prompt with shipping. I ordered on Saturday and the product arrived via USPS Media Mail on Tuesday.

The only potential weakness is ValoreBooks.com customer service guarantee, in case a buyer is dissatisfied with his purchase. Essentially they would notify the seller of a buyer's complaint and that ends their liability and involvement. There is no monetary guarantee offered. The buyer is on their own to reach a final solution.

Sue was absolutely the best! She knew I needed my book ASAP, and she dropped everything to go down to the post office to get my book out that day! They are the BEST! I have never had such a smooth and exceptional experience. I got my book in 2 days without having to pay a fortune!

I ordered my book two weeks before my class started. Four days after purchasing my book ($100.00 Anatomy book), I received a busted open envelope with no book inside. My local post office stamped the package saying that It had been damaged when they received it. I've been calling and email valore books for about a week and a half about this issue and still I've heard nothing from the company. I am a first time user, and believe I will certainly use the site many more times the customer service was great, the follow up on the order was amazing and the prompt delivery was way more than I expected. I am overall satisfied with ValoreBooks.com Online Store. I ordered an International edition of Investment Strategies and Portfolio Analysis for my Finance class. The textbook arrived in about 2 weeks via USPS media mail. This was not a major issue for me as I was getting the book for the next semester anyway. However, If you need your text book urgently, I would advise to order it via priority mail. The condition of the book is as described by the seller. I would recommend the service.

I ordered a book which was listed as New. In stores, this new book includes 2 CDs. It came without CDs and valore refused to provide them. To get them I will have to pay more than $20 each on top of the book price! Since the book was a gift, I cannot return it. To call this book "new" is false advertising and deceptive marketing.

I ordered a book and waited for nearly a week to get a "order cancelled" email. In the meantime I tried to reach their customer service but NO RESPONSE AT ALL. Basically this is a not-too-reliable site to shop at even though I believe there are still some people who love their shopping experience with it. Strongly suggest those who want to get their books fast NOT TO shop on it.

Beware of valore. You get what you pay for.  I ordered a book and payed for priority shipping.  After seller claims they shipped I never received product.  Seller would not contact me and Valore customer service would not contact me after emailing them.  I called my credit card company to get the number to Valore.  After calling them, the lady on the phone could not give me any information (basically she knew what I knew) ordered "shipped" on said date.  Well she has to now submit to customer service  who she could not give the phone number to me.  This process takes 48-72 hours to get a response back and then they will decide what action to take.  By the way I had to order a new book with the new company shipping overnight (they actually track the status) and will have it before my 3rd class on Monday.  Again beware you get what you pay for.   

The order was delivered very fast and the item was in better condition than I expected. The price was great too.. no other site even came close on the price.. Next semester I will buy all of my college textbooks at valorebooks.com.

ValoreBooks.com seller VISABOOKS sold me a book for DOUBLE the price at which the publisher was selling directly to the public. After I became aware of this, and before the book was shipped, I asked the seller to cancel the order, and he did not comply, and stated that hw would charge a 20% restocking fee aside from shipping. Valorebooks appears to side with the seller, and have taken no action on my behalf. They should both be prosecuted for price gouging.

Was a good experience, While I'm looking for the better price I found ValoreBooks. Was the better price compared with the all other companies. I'm very satisfy with customer service, as well. I ordered my book on Thursday and it was shipped that day. I received my book on Monday in EXCELLENT condition. And it was cheaper than all the other books I had looked at. I am very satisfied with my transaction and hope to order all my books from this site.

I was skeptic about purchasing the book (since there weren’t many reviews) but the price was irresistible. Since the price was minimal, I purchased the book on Sunday and they shipped it Monday. I received the book on Wednesday in a priority mail envelope. The packaging was non-existent but the book arrived in good condition. The book is the right one and I’m thankful that I found it for sooo cheap and the fact that I didn’t get ripped off by them.

Buyer Beware! After the site told me a dozen times that it was incapable of accepting my credit card, I gave up and bought the book elsewhere (a store that had no trouble running my card). However, two days later I received an email saying that they were charging my card and sending me the book! What a scam! This is one store I would not recommend providing your information to.

Absolutely avoid this company when it comes to buybacks!  They quote high prices on books, but then great deceptive when it comes to actually following through.  I am still in a battle with them over what they said was an instructor's edition of a book.  They do have a policy that says they do not buy back instructor's editions.  However, I've contacted the publisher about the book in question and have learned that an instructor's edition was never published!  My first three attempts to e-mail Valore all failed, with each e-mail going to a BetterWorldBooks in Indiana.  It turns out now that the book Valore stole for me, the supposed instructor's edition now happens to be for sale at BetterWorldBooks in Indiana, available through the Valore Books.com website. 

These people stonewall and ignore customers.  They have a terrible rating with the BBB as well.  Check it out.  They may offer 50-75 cents more on a book, but it's not worth it when they pull this type of garbage.  We recently sold back books to at least five different places, and Valore was the only one that has pulled this garbage.

Ordered PHYSICAL GEOGRAPHY January 17.  Received COLLEGE PHYSICS promptly (for expedited shipping charge).  Wrote about problem.  Answer, "sold out."  Asked about return, no answer.  Complained through Paypal, a worthless waste of time, answer, "return it."  To them?  To shipper? To seller?  Who pays for return?  No answer.  Paypal "sorry about your luck." 

I sent a bunch of books to them to sell to them. That was over a month ago. I recieved an e-mail stating that they had recieved the books and that they would have to check them in before they sent the check. Not even a week later I recieved an e-mail stating that I would be getting my check in the mail within a week. It is now 3 weeks later, so the check is 2 weeks late. If your order has a problem, don't count on valorbooks.com to help. I ordered a book, and it never arrived. Repeatedly contacted the seller with no response. I then contacted valorebooks, and the the only thing they could do was respond with the sellers contact info. Then when I sent an e-mail complaining again, I received a mail delivery error from their servers -- probably didn't want to answer me again. I would expect some kind of refund or inquiry, but they expected me to resolve the situation. Absolutely no help.

Don't waste your time with ValoreBooks. They offer books that they don't have in inventory, and it takes them four days just to figure it out and notify you that your order has been cancelled. Order from a reputable book reseller and you'll have your book delivered in your hands in that same four days.

I ordered a college biology book from ValoreBooks.com. They did not send me the one shown, but a different 'international edition' that was not even supposed to be sold in the US. The access code for the companion website would not work for that reason. It cost $30 to get the access that should have come free with the purchase of a new book.
My only option was to pay to ship it back--even though it was their unscrupulous business practices that was the problem.
I would not recommend them at all.

Valorebooks is a fraudulent and worthless company. I ordered a book priority mail through Valorebooks for a class and after I had ordered and was billed for the book Valorebooks had sent me a confirmation email saying it was shipped. After 9 days since that time and I have had several conversations with Valorebooks customer service reps, everytime they had told me to just wait until the next day and that the order was shipped and should arrive within the next business day. I am now two weeks into this class, photocopying pages from the text in the library and received this email: "Message From The Seller: We apologize but a computer error caused this order to be confirmed rather than cancelled and refunded as the textbook is sold out. A refund has been initiated. We apologize for any inconvenience.". I contacted the customer service department once again and they held absolutely no accountability for the action, they told me to just get a hold of the seller and basically they could do nothing. NEVER ORDER THROUGH VALOREBOOKS.COM, I had basically the worst experience that could possibly happen with them.

I got burned by two separate sellers on Amazon Marketplace for not shipping a used textbook and taking weeks to respond to email inquiries as to when it would ship, causing me to get behind in my class. (You would think ordering a month in advance would be safe.)

So in a rush I used BigWords.com to find my textbook which pointed me to a seller on ValoreBooks.com -- seller "firstclassbooks".

I placed my order on Tuesday and did opt to use the priority shipping, and 4 hours later got an email that the item shipped. Then today (Friday) the item arrived!

So based on this experience I would recommend this seller and ValoreBooks.com who saved the day for me!

Shopping at ValoreBooks.com allowed me to find the books I needed at an affordable price. My orders arrived very quickly and in great condition. When I was concerned that I had received the wrong item due to an incomplete product description, the seller was exceedingly polite about the mixup and offered either a full refund or a partial refund to my account if I wanted to keep the book, even though there was no real difference between the Instructor's and Student's Editions. Their understanding was pleasantly surprising, and I found transactions through this site easy and affordable. Highly recommended!

I went to Valore Books website looking for a hard to find programing book that most companies could not tell me if they could even get for me. Not only did I find this book here but it was billed fast, shipped faster and came in excellent condition with no hassles. Valore Books simplified what until then had been a long and difficult process.

I have tried to order three items from ValoreBooks.com in the past couple of months, and two were cancelled. They invited me to leave a comment at Epinions.com when I left positive feedback for the third item, but not when I left neutral feedback for the first two, so ratings here may be biased in favor of ValoreBooks.com.

I would not recommend this company. I purchased a book at their online interface and paid with credit card. Ten days later, I received an email that said the book wasn't in stock. Why did it take 10 days to tell me that? It was in stock when I ordered it. Even more worriesome, the day after I ordered the book, fraudulent credit card charges began showing up on my account and my card issuer deactivated the account as a fraud-prevention. I can't prove anything, but it's awfully suspicious, and now I'm without a credit card for 7-10 days until the new one arrives. Luckily, I'm not liable for the charges, but at the very least it's an inconvenience. I'm staying away from this company because of their terrible customer service, and because I don't trust the security of their website.

After receiving a shipment notification, but no tracking number, I was suspicious.  Two emails and two phone calls later I am told my book was not shipped 1st Class as requested (and paid for) but rather it had accidently been shipped 4th Class.  I was doubly suspicious when the vendor told that, if my book didn't arrive early next week, that I would be issued a refund (!).  Really?  A vendor willing to ship my book and then refund me for it?  Uh huh.  A few days later my account showed a refund.  Obviously the book was never shipped in the first place and the merchant simply lied to me about it, not once but twice.  Three times if you want to count the "Shipment Notification" email.

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY! They have NO contact phone number (this should be a BIG hint that something's fishy!!!), they have NO way to get problems resolved other than sending an email to a black hole somewhere in cyberspace that is NOT answered. Their subcontractors do not have phone numbers either. I spent two hours trying to find the company that shipped the book out of North Carolina and they just do NOT exist!!

Valore does NOT work to resolve problems. They do not have anyone to expedite issues. They STOLE MY MONEY and DID NOT SHIP WHAT WAS ORDERED. Now I have overpaid $40 and will have to spend another $70 to get what I ordered.

STAY AWAY!! BEWARE!! With this company, you GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.

The book I ordered arrived within a week to ten days, as promised. I chose it partly because of the low price and condition description. The book was as advertised--used but in excellent condition--and the price was more than reasonable.  I received a letter of thanks for my order and a followup e-mail regarding the book's arrival.  Can't say as I've ever had such good service from any other online order.

Overall I will give the seller 99% satisfaction. The only thing I did not like is that I was told that I will pay for standard shipping and will be given Priority. I paid for Priority and got priority. So...didn't get why would they advertise that the shipping will be at a reduced rate.
Other than that, I was very happy with my purchase. Still got a great deal! Highly recommend!

This is the first time I shopped at ValoreBooks.com, a friend suggested I give it a try. I needed a school book like yesterday and didn't have a lot of money to spend. I am very glad I listened to my friend. I was very pleased with how quickly my order arrived and how reasonably priced it was. I also received several emails from ValoreBooks telling me the status of my order. When it was shipped and when I can expect it. Customer Service was always made available so I knew I had help if I needed it. But I didn't need any help, the whole process went as smooth as silk. I plan on shopping here again real soon.

I sold my textbooks to Valorebooks.com.  I neatly packaged them up in a cardboard box, filling any empty spaces with paper.  I received a check for less the amount they quoted me.  They claimed that not all the books were received.  This is quite odd, because they were all in the same box.  How can some of the books in the same shipment make it, and another not?  I cannot find a telephone number for this company, only an email customer service contact.  Would you be surprised that it has been over a month and I still haven't heard back from them?  I used Valore books because they quoted me the highest prices, but in the end, they paid me less because they paid me nothing for one book, claiming it was lost.  So really, they made money off of me.  I would have been better off to go with a company that offered less and would pay me for all my books.  They would add up to more in the end.
