Don't give these folks your Credit Card info...

I ordered a camera online. Read the other reviews nd you'll know they were abusive when I called about my order...cancelled it and so on. This company is a scam.

Worse, the following day someone with my credit card info tried to make a money transfer thru Western Union. Fortunately, WU called me and I was able to immediately cancel my credit card. This "company" is in NY. Guess where the funds were to be sent. Yep...NY. I live a thousand miles from NY.

Fraudulent Scumbags

STAY AWAY!
Day 1: Ordered camera, called to confirm order, got a super hard sell on accessories and decided to get a larger memory card. Also selected 3 day shipping. Got an order number.

Day 3: Call to find out why my stuff didn't arrive in 3 days. They don't ask for my order number, just what I ordered, after which they tell me my order has been shipped.

Day 4: I read a load of bad reviews for this place and call them again. I ask about the status of my order and they hang up. I call back. This time the guy asks for my order number and the he says it's on backorder (even though my order had been shipped!) I cancel my order - the guy says, "It's cancelled" and hangs up. I call my credit card company and they say the account has not been charged but they took all the info plus the various names under which this company does business in order to avert a possible fraudulent charge.

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THESE SCUMBAGS!

Extremely BAD Company to deal with

Was thinking about ordering a DSC-50W at wawadigital.com on a Friday, I had everything filled out and then hit cancel. To my surprise the order went through. I was going to call the company the following Monday, but I got a fraud alert on my credit card and had to cancel my card. Come Monday morning someone from Wawa called and I immediately told him the order was canceled and at that time he began to threaten me saying he knew people in Texas and that he would have them come over, as well as saying he was going to ruin my credit. I hung up with him and called back and ask to speak the the manager and he just kept saying send a money order or we will ruin your credit. Stay very far away from these guys. True scam.

I purchased from wawa digital what i thought was a NEW fujifilm digital camera for a trip i was going on to spain. When i received the camera some of the included accessories were missing such as the charger,rechargeable batteries and cradle adapter,when i called to report it they said oh,yeah those accessories are extra i nearly blew my top!i asked their customer service why on earth would i pay extra for something i was to get for free after going back and for i told them to refund my money and i will send back the camera.These guys are very crooked!

Very, very strange...

I ordered a digital camera from WAWA last week and had a strange feeling about my purchase. When i called to confirm my order, all the guy from WAWA was concerned about was selling me a memory card and a 1 year warranty for $68.oo!!! I told him no thanks and asked if the camera had a manufactures warranty on it. He told me "no, no warranty", I thought that to be a little strange. luckely, I read some of these reviews in time for my wifes birthday and called to find out the status of my order.The guy from WAWA said "Your orders been cancelled, check back with us in 60 days" and proceeded to hang up on me. Thank god my order was cancelled,I don't want to have anything to do with this unscrupulous so called company. I can only hope my credit card doesn't get charged later with any "mysterious" charges.

Purchased a Panasonic FZ20. Great Price, excellent follow-up communication, and fast shipping! I chose standard 7-10 day shipping. Ordered at 11 p.m. on a friday night & had the camera the following wednesday, mid afternoon. I would ABSOLUTELY buy from them again!

Horrible. Sent me a broken digital camera, supposedly new. Would not take it back, profanely insulted me and threatened to run up charges on my credit card if I called back. Now I'm stuck with a camera that does not work and no way to get it fixed. I am filing a complaint with the New York City Dept. of Consumer affairs and I suggest that everyone else with a similar experience do the same, you can file a complaint on line. If these guys were in Calif. they would be in jail.

Mafia Operation: Manager Tom Garretts threatened me over the phone!!!

I ordered a digital camera from WAWA because after some research they had the lowest price. After I got the confirmation email, the email said to call in to confirm. When I called to confirm the order I was talking to "Manager" Tom Garretts, a high-pressure salesman who tried to add accessories that I didnt want. After declining the accessories, the slimeball canceled my order!

I told the guy that I would be filing a complaint with the BBB and he immediately told me that he would report me to his "connections" in "internal affairs" and that he would see to it that I would be unable to buy a digital camera anywhere... (I'm obviously very concerned :)

He made it clear to me that the company was "very well connected" to "internal affairs" and proceeded to confirm my address.

This slimeball is going to get more than he bargained for.

Scammers -- Bait And Switch -- Paging Mr. Spitzer

This place is a scam -- I called to order a Digital Rebel and was immediately asked if I wanted a 5-year warranty with it. When I declined, the salesman hung up on me. I called back and tried again -- the salesman asked if I wanted filters for the camera, which I already have, so I said no. I was put on hold for 20 minutes. During that time, I did a web search and found all these bad reviews. It's pretty obvious that it's a bait and switch tactic -- if you don't buy the overpriced accessories, you'll never receive the low-priced big item. Thank you all of writing these reviews, so I never gave them my credit card info.

Worse than a tooth extraction without anesthesia

Terrible experience. High pressure to buy additional items after I bought a Casio digital camera from these guys. They call me up at 2000 (Pacific), where they are based in NY (so 2300 there). They insist I "need" memory, additional batteries and warranties. They tell me the camera has no warranty, even though the camera comes with a one year factory warranty, as stated on WAWA's website. When I say I wish no additional items they tell me, "so you want to cancel the order?" I say no, they hang up and a little later I find my order cancelled. I wish there was a BBB for internet commerce, because WAWA is real bad news. DO NOT BUY FROM WAWA DIGIAL.

I searched for the best price on the internet and wawadigital had the lowest price. now i know why! within five minutes of making my online purchase they called to "verify my credit card information" -- in reality it was a fast-talking, high-pressure salesman who conned me into buying overpriced accessories. I've done plenty of purchases on the internet (my favorite way to shop) and this is by far THE WORST experience I have had. I felt so stupid when I got off the call that I planned to simply return the unwanted accessories but I can't get anyone to answer at customer service. Also there is no return information on the web site or on the invoice. Speaking of the invoice, it has AccessoriesLand as the company, and instead of breaking out the prices by item they lump it all into one price. From the comments I've read (unfortunately too late), if I tried to return the goods they would make me return the entire shipment and charge an exorbitant restocking fee. Learn from the mistakes of others -- DON'T BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!! THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS!!

I ordered on tuesday & had wanted the camera by friday.It didn't come on time.I tried to contact them no one was home.So I refused the shipment & had it sent back.I called my credit
card co. & disputed the charge.The camera wiz inc. called
me back & ordered me to stop the dispute or he would charge my credit card a 20 0/0 restocking fee.Which he cant do.I would never buy anything from this co.

SCAM ARTISTS REPORT THEM TO BBB

I ordered and got a call with the same bait and switch wanting to sell more batteries. When I said dont need them. It was out of stock and hung up. What a rip off.

Now I filled with the BBB as they are not reputable and no one had thier personal info or buisness info as of yet.

LOW BALLS you than tries to SCAM you

What a scam artist. They low ball every other decent merchant trying to make a honest living and then try to charge you more than you would pay anywhere else. Tried to buy a camera at what i thought was a decent price.After you place a order,you get a call from this guy saying that you need a extended battery,that the battery the camera comes with only lasts a hour. And after you reluctantly agree,he tells you now that you also need a larger memory card,that the memory card does not hold more than 15 pictures. You now realize your'e being scammed and you tell him to cancel the order and he tells you there is a 20% restocking fee. Restocking what? You're still trying to sell me stuff!!
Thank goodness the credit card companies are on the customers side.

Be warned - possible fraud (I don't say this lightly)

Having just gotten off the phone with my credit card company, I can say to be very careful when dealing with this outfit. I believe they may have misused / sold my personal information, and have reported them to the NY Attorney General's Office.

I placed an order with them, but when I refused to buy expensive add-ons, they canceled the order. Because I was uncomfortable with the way the entire transaction took place, and after reading reviews of this company where people were complaining about fraudulent charges on their card after dealing with them, I called my credit card company and issued a fraud alert. Today my card company called me to let me know that people had, in fact, started to try to issue fraudulent charges.

I have had the same credit card for 14 years and never had a fraudulent charge. Is it fate? Is it random bad luck? Or is it wawadigital? Read this review, and the rest of the reviews here, and on www.resellerratings.com, and do a search on Google with "wawadigital" + "scam" and make your own opinion. An informed consumer is a powerful consumer - I wish I had done my homework.
