Do yourself a favor and avoid this retailer. I did an internet search for a camera and they came up as the lowest price by about $25. I placed the order on-line on Saturday, and received e-mail confirmation of the order and the price. On Tuesday, they called trying to sell me additional equipment at inflated prices. I declined. At that time they informed me that the camera was reconditioned. Because the price was so good, I said OKAY. On Wednesday, I went on-line to get my tracking number and I find that the order was cancelled. No e-mail to me or anything. On Thursday, I call and they informed me that my order was cancelled because there is no camera in stock. It did not bother them in the slightest that the camera was listed "in stock" on Saturday --- confirmed by e-mail, and confirmed by telephone. I hung up and checked on-line and the same camera was available at $25 more. Do yourself a favor and avoid this company. They give on-line transactions a bad reputation. I've purchased many items on-line and they are by far the worst.

The weekend before Christmas I phoned Wawa Digital to order a Canon DC-20. After talking with a sales rep, named Mike, I decided to purchase a kit w/ a number of extras (which I've historically bought, after the fact for previous camcorders). Mike gave great information about the product and was even willing to throw in an expedited shipping to get it to me before Christmas.

After all was said and done I got all the extras (3 mini-dvd-r's, a 3 pc - lens filter kit, extended life battery, rapid charger, camera case, AND the 5 YEAR extended warranty) for a little LESS than I'd have been able to buy JUST the camera for at my local electronics stores!

...I hadn't read all the misc. horror stories about WAWA...
and after having such an awesome experience...am glad I didn't.

BTW--My Canon DC-20 DVD Camcorder ROCKS!!!

DO NOT buy from Genius camera,CCI camera, WAWA Digital, USA Photo Nation. These places have good prices, if you do not buy their high marked up extras they cancel you order . one of the companies got my credit card numbers and used it and had to cancel my card. They are crooks, thieves and should be shut down. Please avoid and don't try them or you will say "I wish I had listened". I can not believe these stores can get by this long AND NOT BE SHUT DOWN OR CHARGES BROUGHT UP AGAINST THEM. !!BEWARE!!!

Ordered an Canon Eos Rebel Xt thru the net. I wanted the body only I have all kinds of EF lenses. This guy calls me back within 30 mins of my order placement and asked if I wanted a battery and charger for the camera. The ad clearly states battery, charger, software, strap and patch cords come with the camera. When I told the guy he needs to read his own ads he hung up on me. To say the least I was in shock. Surprised they can stay in business. I think this store is ran from the back room of the Bada Bing.....

My experience with wawa digital sucked A#@. I ordered a camera, i called to verify it and they tried to pressure me into buying all this stuff that i knew i didn't need. I never got the camera. We called and they said they didn't have it, then hung up. We then call again 3 months later because they said it was on backorder well they never had it in the first place

This store is such a scam, I actually recommend you call them just for the laugh. You'll truly see the worst business practices of your life, it's like going to a good horror movie, just don't give them any information about you. Expect insults, expect cheap cons, expect angry salesmen, expect them to tell you you're stupid and you should buy a battery for $200 even if you can find it on ebay or walmart for $20. This place is great. The best part is they pack review sites themselves, it's quite obvious. Notice: All reviews are either zeros or perfects, hmmmmmm. Clearly the zeros are real, the perfects sound like sales people lol, "i chose the 7-10 day shipping" Who says that???? These guys are funnier than Eddie Murphy, check them out, call the free 800 number and pretend to order something, just for the fun, do it at parties! Or recommend them to your enemies if you want to actually find a use for them.

I wish I had read these reviews before I called and ordered from these guys. It was a horrible experience. Do yourself a favor and avoid these guys!

Just like the other reviews, I was lured by the low camera prices. Unfortunately, after giving them my information to buy the camera, the sales guy insisted that I buy a battery at $99 and a 1GB memory card for $149! It was then that I requested the camera only, and that I would think about the accessories at a later date... to my surprise, I was promptly hung up on!! I called back 3 times to get what was going on (because they had my credit card info!!), and got hung up on every time. BUYER BEWARE! I called my card to make sure that no charges were made.

On Monday Nov 14, 2005 I ordered a Canon A610 digital camera. It was a good price. The following morning, my husband received a call pressuring him into buying a memory card or a battery pack. He declined to purchase. Mike said that he had the camera in the box and was shipping it out that day (11-15). My credit card still has not been charged so we called today and they cancelled my order and hung up on him. You do not want to do business with this bait and switch company. They will not sell you the product at the advertised price unless you buy an ad-on.

RUN FAR AWAY from this sleazy place. Refused to sell me a camera b/c i would not buy their overpriced memory card! Rudest most horrible shopping experience EVER. They are crooks and only out to get your money. I placed an order online for a digital camera at a decent price, then got an email asking to call to confirm the order. Chuh. What a scam. This 'salesman' then tries to hard sell me an overpriced memory card I don't need saying the camera doesn't come with one (lie). I tell him no, the camera has one, he proceeds with 'well, that only gives you 2 or 3 pictures' (another lie). When I tell him sorry, I don't think so, he hangs up on me saying while hanging up that they'll hold the order. I don't have any chance to reply. I call back a minute later to find out what is going on, when will order be shipped, etc, and this same sleazy jerk from before rudely states 'that camera is out of stock' and hangs up on me again. This place is so awful I had to write a review.

They were ROTTEN! The man on the other end called me stupid and told me to "get off of HIS phone! He canceled my order because I didn't want to buy a battery or memory card. They try to bribe you...DO NOT BUY FROM THESE GUYS... IT WILL BE THE WORST MISTAKE YOU EVER MADE!

This company is horrible! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! They tried to sell me an overpriced memory card. I already had one so I said no. They said the would send the camera (I had paid extra for 3 day shipping). I called back to check on the order and now they said it would be 2-3 weeks because I had not purchased any accessories! They said if I had purchased extras the camera would have arrived in 3 days.

I then asked to speak with a manager and they hung up on me. I called back and asked to speak with a manager. He said the "order is canceled". These guys are a rip-off!!!

I have filed a complaint on this company with the Better Business Bureau as well as with the Office of the New York State Attorney General.

I ordered a digital camera for my mother. I was called by them and pressured very hard to upgrade the camera and accessories. I politely declined all offers. The man hung up on my in a huff.
I then called back after 6 weeks b/c my mother had still not received her camera. They were SO rude to me. I had to laugh after I was hung up on for the third time. I was told they didn't have that camera, never had the camera, and never would have the camera.
This is not a company - these people are ridiculous.
PLEASE DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!

I ordered an Nikon Coolpix S1 Digital Camera. They called me immediately after placing my order and told me it was in stock and I should recieved it in 10-15 business days. Two days later I decided I wanted to upgrade my shipping (I was anxious to get my camera) and they told me I couldn't upgrade because it wasn't in stock. The next day I called to see if it was in stock yet and they told me they had cancelled my order. They didn't even call me to tell me they had cancelled my order!! These guys are shady!!

Ordered a camera and had to call and "confirm" the order. The guy ended up cursing me out and hanging up on me three times. Do not buy from here unless you are interested in a little entertainment and you enjoy wasting your time.

Ok here goes ordered a dx7590 kodak camera from Sam at Wawa Digital while eating a bag of chips and taking my order he proceeded to do as any good salesperson does sell extras.Prices were high but got them down on price so my 268.00 camera w/warranty (5years) camera case 512 high speed memory card AND Express shipping came to $600.00. Well needless to say i had second thoughts and within 12 hours called and left a detailed message to cancel my order and to confirm by calling cell phone during the day.Well no call ever came no email confirmation either. So i called mastercard when i got home and was told that they already had charged me but it has not gone through as of yet.I have to wait at least 48 hours before contesting the charge.I smelled a RAT and I was the cheese.Hopefully i can resolve this and receive a credit for said amount. Lesson taught, lesson learned. I have not received product as it has only been 2 day's. But am beleiving this is about to be a BAD DEALER...
