Ignore the rebates. You won't get them. Or if you do you have to be ready to work for it. And that doesn't mean couple of phonecalls, it means claims to BBB and FTC.

Otherwise ok, but it should be with the real price you're paying.

I just bought a Verizon family plan and two phones (Razrs) via Wirefly, and my experience was excellent. I was attracted to Wirefly because of its prices -- over $150 less than my local store -- but I had questions about the phones and the service, so I picked up the phone to talk to a real person. She was very helpful, answered my questions, made suggestions and took my order. I received e-mail confirmation within minutes and confirmation the next day that my new service was already active and that I had two new phone numbers separated by only one digit, very nice for a family plan. Two days later my new phones arrived in perfect condition. The contracts were crystal clear. No fine print, no surprises, nothing hidden, just a straight-up deal as though I'd made it at my local retailer. (Wirefly's a middleman; all contracts and service are directly with Verizon.) All in all, the whole experience couldn't have been smoother, and I'll happily recommend Wirefly to everyone.

It was the first time to order anything on-line. I was surprised of the offers. I wish that every website be like wirefly.com. I am sure that everyone tries it will return again. Thank you for your effort.

Ordered two phones in February 2006. Phones arrived and were activated properly, but the rebate experience has been a disaster--a total of $320 has never been paid after exactly properly following their rebate instructions, acknowledgement of a move on their part that required resubmissions, promises that the checks are coming soon...

It's now just about a year from the phone purchases and I don't expect:

1) to get paid ever
2) to even be using these phones by the time I get any satisfaction from Wirefly.

DO NOTE EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE THIEVES!!

I was recently attempting to purchase two PDA Smartphones from Wirefly.  The only requirement stated during the shopping phase of the order was that I needed to purchase at new AT&T account with a 2 year service agreement.

Only after the phones were added to my cart did I learn that the undisclosed terms of the rebate offer were that I purchase an additional $30/month unlimited internet usage plan.

I called and spoke with a customer service rep who confirmed that this was only disclosed after the phones are added to your cart.  These are classic Bait and Switch tactics and are likely a violation of local consumer protection laws regarding honesty in advertising.  I just feel fortunate that I terminated the purchase before I got in any deeper with this dishonest vendor.

I found the phone I always wanted. Blackberry... finally free through Sprint/Nextel.  I placed the order. Excited that I would have my phone before Christmas.  Didn't happen! I received an email stating that I had an outstanding balance (over $200) with Sprint/Nextel and I would need to call them to straighten it all out. So I did.  I never had Sprint/Nextel account, and this raised a red flag for me to cancel my order immediately with wire-fly. And I did!!!  I better NOT GET CHARGED WITH A DARN THING!  The phone was suppose to be free - but why did they ask for my Credit Card if my order was free-- Another RED FLAG!!!!
The customer service and Billing Dept @ nextel never showed me as being thiercustomer.  What happened next?  I ended up getting a cell phone thru Nextel/Sprint... not the phone I wanted, but it is the Rumor Phone which will do for now until I can upgrade and afford mytouch screen blackberry storm.  I will never order a cell phone on-line again unless it is through the direct company itself!  (Nextel/Sprint, ATT, Ect.)

I'm really pleased with my purchase. They sent my phone out super-fast, and the added free headset was a great bonus. I have already recommended wirefly to everyone I know. And I can't believe the rebate! Thumbs up for Wirefly!

I ordered my phone on Thursday and was told Friday my phone would be activated within 24 hours.  After 5 days my phone still was not activated. I was told each time to wait more time. I was so upset I canceled the order.

Shopping experience was mostly OK. I received the phone, however it came with a preset activation date so I couldn't use it for a few days. They did rebate my Fed Ex fee (after several calls).

Otherwise, the rebate process sucked. I had to wait eight months to find out that my rebate claim was not valid. Make sure you copy everything, including the letter with the post mark date (I know, who does this?)!

I previously recommended wirefly and insophonic to all my friends. Not anymore.

Wirefly is possibly the WORST e-tailer of all time. I received one e-mail after placing an order for a Betsey Johnson Samsung cell phone, saying that my order would be delivered in 3 days. Nearly one month later I finally got the phone. NO replies to any e-mail inquiries. The only way to get someone on the phone is to say you are going to cancel the order. They are just AWFUL.If you can find the item elsewhere, DO NOT use Wirefly.

Please make sure your optional features changes to your new plan STICK when ordering on the web. I believe that the changes I made did not carry through in my order. For example, on the Optional Features, I unchecked optional features, added some others, opted to keep my existing number, etc. It appears that what I was billed, the defaults that appear on the page were there and my number was not automatically ported since that's not the default on the web page. Just be careful. Otherwise, the service was great. I ordered on Sunday, the phones were shipped on Wednesday.

If you will check the favorable reviews for these untrustworthy folks at Wirefly.com you will see that these folks do not reveal their location. I would expect that they are employees of wirefly who have been instructed to give them 5 stars or very favorable ratings. Once they get your money folks you are in for a very rude awakening. Rebate? Lots of luck with that one! Say good bye to your $$. Try communicating with these people once they get your $$. No way will they communicate in any meaningful way. Shop somewhere else. Check complaints.com or the ripoffreport.com.

The purchase was fast and easy. We got the newest phones and bluetooth headsets out there at a significantly reduced price. Will be free once the rebate is processed. The phones came ready to go, no long setup required. I will be recommending wirefly to my friends when they are in the market for cell service!
