I made the purchase and selecting the "pay with paypal" option. I then got an email confirming my purchase but they didn't follow through by sending a "request money" from paypal...which is what they're supposed to do. It's been 4 days and I decided to buy the same unit from their competitor. Also, ikitchen wanted to charge $16.40 to ship the unit, their competitor charged. $4.99. Where will I never freqent again? I rarely ever buy products from internet merchants.
Sure, I have bought things over e-bay and half.com
but usually in those cases you are dealing with an individual, and not an automated merchant.
My latest experience with iKitchen.com may changed my mind about internet merchants.
I was in need of a pair of oil filled radiators,
since this is a seasonal item, local retailers did not have these available at the being of the summer season.
www.iKitchen.com offered a variety of Delonghi heaters
at fantastically low prices, "factory refurbished".
The price alone nearly sealed the deal.
Couple price with the Delonghi brand name, and reasonable shipping charges and we are clicking "complete sale"
Here is where I am really impressed.
I called to find out if iKitchen.com to ask a few questions
which were easily answered by a young lady.
The items were ordered at 1p Tuesday afternoon
and arrived via UPS at 2p Friday afternoon.
An e-mail notification was sent to track the order
and a ballpark date of when to expect delivery.
The items were exactly what I expected, in fair/good condition.
A few dents and dings, but that was to be expected in the clearly identified Factory Refurbished "*Quality refurbished" item.
and to my amazement, the delivery arrived within 3 days of ordering.
I have not had the experience of trying to deal with
returns, but the website has an adequate description of ikitchen.com 14 day warranty,
how to deal with defects or other return policy concerns regarding the manufacturer warranty.
I also appreciated the e-mail notification confirming the purchase. And that they, "will not share, sell, or even use your personal information. It is our promise to you."
Overall, www.ikitchen.com gets high marks.
Great selection on an "out of season" product,
fair shipping charges for an overweight item.
Excellent customer service, delivery tracking and fulfillment within 3 full business days of ordering.

The camera I purchased was a real camera but was actually manufactured and packaged as a childs toy. According to the packaging it was intended for a child 8 years. The "read me" section of the software referres to the camera as a toy. In the sellers information about the camera, no reference is made about a toy. Read more

Took over a month, with repeated phone calls and emails, to receive items. The part that bothered me the most was the lie that the customer service agent was caught in. It should serve as a warning that so many customers complain of the same problem of out of stock/back ordered items. Tracking number is basically worthless, as all they do is purchase a shipping label, but don't actually ship the items until weeks after they send you the tracking number. The slightly lower prices were not worth the aggrivation. Read more
