thinking of contacting the better business bureau as absolutely NO response from merchant. A phonecall was required to confirm the online purchase. This, in my opinion, is a waste of time. I could have just called in the first place. One of the conveniences of online shopping is that you don't have to call someone during their business hours. When I did call, the salesperson was surly and not friendly. I was told that I would need an additional item to use my camera. Because of the interaction with this salesperson, I promptly purchased the additional item from a different online merchant. Bottom line? It doesn't hurt to be polite - it's called retail. Read more

I was called to complete my order and the sales rep was very rude. I then called back after i cancelled my order and asked to talk to a supervisor but he was just as rude to me as the rep i spoke with( i think it was the same person just saying he was a sup because he took it so personal when i said that the rep was rude to me). website lied about it being in stock; said it would take 4-6 weeks to complete my order then wanted to suggest alternative camera (bait&switch). Price seemed too good to be true -- and it was. Finding this tactic more and more, where a merchant will have none of the item in stock, and not expect any in for some number of weeks. Two variations -- price is only slight loss for them, while
they try to bump up charges by selling options for the item at inflated prices, or you get to the website (amazon.com in one case) and find the book that is $50 elsewhere only $5 at amazon, but not in-stock and not orderable (even though they normally take pre-orders) --
all to get higher rankings in search engines and price compare shops. Just yesturday a price on epinions showed
a product for $39.99 at amazon, but when you go to the
website it's 47.99 or some such. It's such a hassle for online buyers to be lied to about availability and price... Read more

Infinity cameras seems to use a bait and switch/misleading advertising techniques. They seem to offer rock bottom prices, however, they are actually selling "partial" products.
