"I was concerned that the OEM version of McAffee Virus Scan that I ordered would be a "dumbed down" version or one that was outdated because of the exceptionally low price. I received a fully functional program on CD that loaded and worked without a hitch.

Purchased Turbo Tax software and was told they do price match. They didn't price match because they said I'd already placed the order, it was only a matter of a few hours that I'd received their response versus when I placed my order. They said I must place comments in the notes section and couldn't process a credit. Sounds silly, as this is the usual way a company price matches after they confirm it. Actually found the software for even less at Amazon. Had seen other reviews that indicate Royal Discount pulled a "Bait 'n Switch" routine on them. Kind of feel like that happened to me too.

I ordered a moderately expensive copy of software that Royal Discount listed online as "Full Version Retail Box". Pricing was good and it came in only 3 or 4 days. Instead of what their website represented, I received a "white box" copy instead.

They only offered to let me return it at MY cost even though they misrepresented the item. Their customer service rep lied to me in email and ignored me when I repeatedly pointed out the problem.

Fortunately, my credit card company protected me from this vendor and resolved the issue (although it did take about 6 months).

Their website still shows this as "Full Version Retail Box". Predatory vendors like these should be investigated.
