Philips AZ1500 CD Boombox

Pros: It's not pricey.
Cons: Unreliable CD player; "finicky" says it best.

I had a Philips AZ1500 CD Soundmachine ("boombox") for about a year, but recently donated it to my local Goodwill store because I got tired of it being so finicky when playing CDs. CDs that would play fine on my other CD players would often skip or not even be recognized on the Philips AZ1500. I would recommend avoiding this CD boombox.

Pros: Portable and cheap.
Cons: Radio reception and LED screen.

This is the music player in the guest/computer room. Its sound and ease of use was better than the computer when I looked at it in a store so I got it. Its sound is good but not great. The controls are a little confusing, but can be handled. Its best asset is its portability, the boom box is very small and not to heavy.
