Pokemon Fire Red Version: - Returning to The Firey Roots of The Series

by jeremy1456 jeremy1456 is a Lead on Epinions in Games, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 50, Oct 02 '04
Pros: Wireless Adapter, Gameplay, Graphics, Music, Additions
Cons: No Trading Between Older Versions From Beginning, No Johto or Hoenn
Pokemon has long held the "fad" title, even though Nintendo would like to think the series will be popular forever, I'm sensing a major fallout in the Pokemon brand really soon. It's not that the Pokemon games aren't engaging (they certainly are deep ...

Pokemon Firered: A Remake Of The Game That Started It All

by kjell1979 kjell1979 is a Lead on Epinions in Games, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Jul 18 '06
Pros: simple but deep gameplay, good connectivity with other Pokemon games, can complete your pokemon collection
Cons: not as deep as Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, seems like a money grab, limited replay value
After playing through P okemon Emerald I wanted to get another game where I could trade with so I could assemble a superior team to put on my Emerald cart for the Battle Frontier. The only way to unlock certain ...

Setting the Pokemon world on fire!

by eternityawaits , Sep 21 '04
Pros: wireless adapter included; new Training mode; EVERY POKEMON EVER!!!
Cons: it really repeats a lot of the previous games in the series
Pokemon are at it again, invading innocent Game Boys everywhere. For those of you who have been living in a cave for the past ten or so years, Pokemon are critters (more on the critters part later) who are featured in a long line of video games ...

Pokemon Fire Red, an updated remake of the original pokemon games

by saraab , Nov 13 '04
Pros: Wireless adaptor included with the game, there are new features in this game.
Cons: Hard to find people to play with, not as long as ruby/sapphire.
Pokemon Fire Red and Leaf Green are nintendo's latest installments to the pokemon series. I will be talking about the Fire Red version since that is the one i play most frequently. This game is made to be mostly a remake of the original Pokemon ...

A Brand New Adventure...Or Is It?

by nighthawk205 , Sep 21 '04
Pros: Great game, new additions, same exciting adventure.
Cons: Game starts off slowly and some gym leaders are too easy.
Well here we go again, I must catch 'em all! To some people (including me), the Pokemon games are very fun and original. This game is no exception. You get the chance to play the old red version revamped and with new additions. Your goal is still the ...

Awesome remake

by shalineko , Jan 26 '08
Pros: Comes with extras, compatible with gameboy advance, SP, and DS/DS Lite
Cons: Easy, simple storyline/gameplay
For those of us who were around during the early days of pokemon for the gameboy console--Pokemon red and blue, this game will probably hold a lot of appeal. I am not as huge of a pokemon fanatic as I was in fourth grade, and thus have not kept up to ...

pokemon fire red

by pokemon1212 , Feb 04 '08
Pros: Very long and fun collecting different pokemon.
Cons: Very repetive storyline and battles.
Gameplay- This game is a remake of the original version that came out for the gameboy. They improved everything greatly but didn't add enough of extra stuff when your playing through the game and when you beat the game. it strt's out the same you got to ...

Good game? Not really

by eliwood , Oct 10 '04
Pros: better graphics, wireless adapter, new islands
Cons: easy game, costs too much for its quality, low replay value
Pokemon FireRed is an improvement over the old Red and Blue versions. It has new islands, the wireless adapter, and more pokemon. However, this game is too easy and has low replay value. See, all you have to do in this game is to pick a strong party, ...

Pretty good pokemon game
by senor_coco ,Oct 01 '04
Pros: Better graphics, more monster, 9 new island and wireless trading and battling.
Cons: Pokemon red all over again. The 9 island is not enough.
This game is pokemon red with better graphics, more monster, 9 new island and wireless trading and battling. This game was pretty. Dont remember the last time i was hooked into a gameboy advance game like i was with this one. If you are a true pokemon fan BUY IT!!!. If you are a common gameboy advance player you migh like to buy it bbut their are better games out there.

More of the same with new features
by joleny2004 ,Oct 28 '04
Pros: New TM's and HM's, good graphics, more options.
Cons: SAME HISTORY LINE, sound
I bought Pokemon Fire Red Version 2 weeks ago. Good graphics, new features, but the same history line of Pokemon Yellow. The game came with the new “Wireless Adapter” who allow you to trade, battle, and chat “wireless” (I don’t know if works). I like the game but, I don’t like the “Story Line”. I’m a POKEMANIAC (adult, lol) and is a good addition to may game collection.
Some of the new features: You can battle with trainers again and again, new TM’s and HM’s, and the bag for carrying your stuff around is huge, so you can carry more items without problems.
