Pros: Good print quality, inexpensive ink cartridges, reasonable price. Cons: Somewhat noisy, initial delay before printing the first print job of the day.
About five months ago, I faced a most unfortunate occurrence. Both of my Lexmark printer cartridges had run out of ink at the same time! If you have ever had the unfortunate experience of buying print cartridges for a Lexmark, you will know that they ...
Pros: Affordability. Speed. Simplicity. Print quality. Quietness. Ink-replacement ease, affordability. Parallel-port/USB options. Cons: Not the tiniest desktop footprint. Capable of jamming (albeit only when pushing your luck).
Well, it was time to buy another printer. Since early 1999, my Canon BJC-2000 had been reliable and ...
Pros: Great photo quality, cheap ink, good speed, fairly quiet, economical use of ink Cons: no USB or parallel cable included, fairly large footprint
A Sad Tale I have been looking for a fairly affordable printer that will last for more than a couple of months. I have had such terrible luck with almost every major brand out there. I have been through an Epson, Xerox and an HP in the last year a ...
Pros: Quiet, Fast, Compact, Individual Color Ink Cartridges. Cons: Initializing of first print page really slow.
I have had a Hp Desk-jet 610c Color Printer for the fast 2 years. A great printer, never had a problem with it, but it printed extremely slow, and the picture print quality was really poor. Now that me and my future wife, had decided months ago, that we...
Pros: Fast, high quality, attractive photo output, driver stability, inexpensive ink replacement Cons: Long initialization time before printing of first page
The Canon i550 is a reliable, easy to use, high quality color printer. Canon's four cartridge system allows to replace only the color which is low, saving you money on ink cartridge refills. Print quality for both text and photos is excellent. Canon...
Pros: Great quality, good price, good brand name! Cons: ~none~
We recently purchased a new CANON i550 PERSONAL COLOR PRINTER.
My two sons convinced me that we really needed one and come to think of it, we did. Our old printer, a Lexmark, was about 8 years old, unreliable, and slower than molasses...
Pros: USB 2.0, Price, Quality, Seperate ink tanks. Cons: No USB or Parallel cord provided.
My father purchased this printer last night. I urged him to go with Canon (I have the S750, check my review) since I really like mine. My father does some digital image stuff on the side so having a printer that prints good quality was important....
Pros: Relatively fast printing, Quiet, Nice Conservative Styling, Ink Tanks Cons: Didn't buy it sooner
Recently, I sold my old computer after getting a new one and gave my printer away with the old computer. I took advantage of this time away from a noisy printer with print head problems to look and compare different printer models. After checking on...
A great printer at a great price! by revan ,Sep 24 '03
Pros: Excellent printer, four separate ink tanks, Great photos! Cons: None
I recently changed from being a life long Epson user to the Canon i550. Although my Epsons have always performed routine printing functions well, my interests have moved to digital photography and the Epson C60 that I had performed adequately.
However, I recently got a Canon i550 and the photos are significantly better with truer colors than on my Epsons. The printing is significantly faster and the adjustments permitted by the printer software provide for a greater variation of choices.
This is a great printer!... by kbear_dt3000 ,Mar 14 '03
This is a great printer! Text is very good and I find the color prints to be very good on low cost (Wal-Mart) photo paper. Set up was very easy. I previous owned an Epson 740, which was a very good printer. The i550 is faster and much quieter.
I LOVE my new Canon i550.
I have a home business. Prior to my purchase of the Canon i550, I used a laser printer for quality text documents and a bubble jet printer for my color printing needs. The Canon i550 meets both needs beautifully.
The i550 produces laser-quality text, and at 18 ppm, it prints faster than my Brother laser printer. The i550 also prints beautiful color.
The i550 was a snap to set up and configure. No problems ... no surprises.
Kudos to Canon for developing a quality bubble jet printer at an affordable price.
