Pros: Great photos with right paper. Cons: Have to choose between photo ink or black ink to go along with tri-color.
I purchased a refurbished 7150 from CompUSA in '04 when they were celebrating, I think, their 10 year anniversary. I bought the printer for a mere $50 and it came with the original packaging and warranty. At the time, I was using a cheap color ...
Pros: - Excellent picture quality
- Very long lifetime for ink cartridges Cons: - Paper loading mechanism defective
- Ink is very expensive
- Software is bloated
As a service technician and salesman, I've worked with many printers and have always been a fan of HPs quality -- not only in the printing itself, but also in the design of their printers. Quiet, fast, clear, and reliable, I have always recommended my ...
Pros: Coordinates very well with my Gateway 15" flat panel monitor and tower. Cons: Everything else.
I purchased the HP Photosmart 7150 in March 2003. I had assumed its photo prints would be well worth the time invested waiting for it to print; I was mistaken. The print quality on the photos isn't that great. In fact, the quality of prints on the BJC 820 ...
Pros: Great photo quality output Cons: Paper handling is a nightmare,
poorly written drivers (nothing new for HP)
I purchased the HP Photosmart printer in January of 2003. I have only used HP Premium Plus papers in the printer. I have found the photos and color documents to be of very good quality. The quality output is one of the best features of this printer. The ...
Pros: Quality of the 4 pictures I did get to print was very good Cons: Have only been able to print 4 pictures since I purchased the printer.
I have had nothing but trouble since I purchased a Photosmart 7150 in late July. The first printer made a humming/whirling noise which the service department said wasn't a problem and would only replace it with a rebuilt printer. I didn't want to ...
Pros: Quietness
Quality of Text and Photos
PRICE
4x6 Tray Cons: Flimsiness of Trays
Speed of Color Photos
The HP 7150 is truly a remarkable printer. I bought this printer after owning a pathetic Lexmark X-73 all-in-one. I heard from numerous people that the HP 7150 was probably the best bargain for a printer on the market, I couldn't agree more. I have printe ...
Pros: Superb photo quality
Easily handles heavy photo papers
Six color ink system
Very affordable Cons: Supplied documentation could be better
Optimized 4800dpi printing requires lots of time and system resources
Having recently purchased an HP Photosmart 7150, I can honestly say that I was amazed at the print quality that can be achieved from this printer. I take a lot of digital photos and have been printing my own for almost three years. I have always...
Pros: Great color, great 4800x1200 image resolution, smooth operation, great software with loads of features Cons: Too cheap for its superior performance
I decided to buy the Hewlett-Packard HP PhotoSmart 7150 printer after being disappointed with my Epson Stylus Photo 820. I was regularly impressed with the quality of the photo prints that my cousin made with his Hewlett-Packard HP PhotoSmart 1215...
Pros: Excellent printer, easy to use Cons: None we found so far
The hp photosmart 7150 is an excellent printer. Pair that up with the hp digital camera and you have a great team. The ability to hook the camera right to the printer is so neat and easy to use. The print quality is terrific, like a photo shop!
You...
Pros: Excellent at both text and photos Cons: Small, EXPENSIVE ink cartridges; HP customer service policies are terrible!
I received a Photosmart 7150 for a Christmas gift and was very pleased with its performance. However, after a few days I kept getting random "document failed to print" messages. Then the printer diesd completely and wouldn't print at all. Nothing I...
Pros: Price, ease of use, final product of print. Cons: None really except stupid pap tray makes a lil weird to do 4x6 and envelopes..
really this printer rocks. Color pic's on photo pap looks just stunning. I have had HP printers for a long time. I wanted a photo ret 4 printer and this was one of least expensive.. i don't need fancy features like memory card slots or LCD readouts'. I...
I have fount the Hewlett packard 7150 to be reliable and excellent at producing color photo prints. I've printed many brochures with the 7150, including high resolution photos, with ease.
Ink is always expensive, as with any printer. Therefore I would suggest buying a second printer(cheapest available) for printing all non photographic type pages. I picked up a basic printer for $25 to handle the non-crucial printing projects. Save the cartridges on the HP for high quality. Loading two printer programs is no problem and all you have to do is click on the printer you want to use at the time.
The HP printer has a separate tray for 4x6 print paper that slides forward to engage without removing your blank 8x10 sheets.
Onscreen guage to show ink levels is handy and warns when one of the cartridges is low.
After some trying first moments, I have found the proper method of printing those 4 X 6 prints (my main use of this printer). I, too, had a lot of problems with the paper not engaging the rollers and paper jams. The photo paper carrier for this size print must have a lot of this photo paper in it to be successful. I experienced that nasty "whirring" sound prior to this and through trial and error, discovered the above. I found good prices for the 57 & 58 cartridges online, about half of the chain stores' prices. The quality is very good - - but nothing can approach regular 35 mm prints from a retail developer. I print from my digital camera through my computer.
Once you replace a print cartridge, you must follow the instructions in the manual perfectly; otherwise, the display will show that you are continually out of ink.
I have never used the 7150 to do 2-sided printing. The PhotoSmart 7350 replaced this printer.
I purchased this printer with a digital camera to get rid of our 35mm camera. With some good photo paper, this thing rocks.
I really like the borderless printing and good quality. I haven't been able to use the direct print option(I don't have a HP Camera), so I don't know how well that works.
Bottom Line:
Great for anyone that wants great instant quality pictures in their own home.
Hard Krome Slash-Cut Staggered Duals Exhaust System Visually stunning in looks and performance; a combination of classic beauty and cutting edge. Doublewall technology. Feature large 2.5n++ diameter dou...
