Pros: DivX Certified Affordable Stylish (SLOT LOADING!) Easy to use Very responsive remote control
Cons: Rewinds too fast Short video filenames (burnt dvds)

I have a basic home theater. So I have no opinion on the Progressive scan capability. This player is very adequate for my needs. It plays many formats that I burn on DVD, is VERY stylish, and was comfortably affordable. I love the slot loading function instead of the tray loading.
It has an intuitive option menu before you play the movie to change settings, such as sound output and surround tuning, progressive scan toggle, and playback options (shuffle - repeat)
