It takes any brand, burns at 4x after you upgrade the firware, never makes coasters.

Out of five that I owned, this one is the best.

I recently purchased a Pioneer A05 DVD-R/W Burner and I gotta tell ya, I love it; so far I have not had any problems with it. For the money its gotta be the best DVD Burner out there!
