Beautiful HD Picture and lots more
by jamesvtm ,Oct 13 '07
Pros: HDTV tuner included, great colors and sharpness, lots of inputs and features. Good value. Cons: Heavy, need 2 people to set it up, still a CRT not an LCD/Plasma.
Went to Best Buy with an open mind leaning towards Sony. They had the Samsung and the Sony side by side. The largest difference I could see after watching DVD, regular TV and HD content was none other that the price advantage of the Samsung. And the with built in HDTV tuner whereas Sony came without one, I decided to do some more research. Reviews that I found agreed with my impression: go for the Samsung. I was able to capture HDTV signal over the air with cheap rabbit ears. HDTV is an amazing improvement in pictures and sound over conventional TV. With two antennae inputs you can keep regular cable coming in on one, while capturing over the airwaves HDTV broadcast on the other. And with 1080i resolution you are ready for Blueray and/or HD DVD.
My recommendation buy it and enjoy.
