Hughes knows TV
by fgyb ,Dec 10 '04
Pros: Displays caller ID on your Television. Great Universal Remote. Easy to use/program. Cons: You have to have a box to watch TV, unlike basic cable.
We have had our Hughes powered DirectTV satellite System for about a year and love it.
There is no comparison between The local Cable Company, Charter Cable, or Dish Network.
The Satellite box is small and out of the way. It is black which matches our stereo components.
The remote is perfect size, not too light, nor too heavy. The buttons are easy to memorize and it is universal so it can control your TV, A VCR, and one extra component. We use it to control our Pioneer Receiver.
The onscreen guides and menus are the best I've seen and you can customize their colors and clarity.
Our Hughes box also plugs into the telephone jack to communicate with DirectTV when ordering PPV's and also displays color ID on our television screen... which is the Best Feature.
DirectTV and Hughes know how to bring television into your home.
