Pros: Mac and PC-Compatible. Excellent picture quality Cons: Face-tracking doesn't work well; flimsy base.
I've been using a Webcam for many years and recently was forced to buy a new one because the old one stopped working after I upgraded my Mac to OSX. I shopped tirelessly and compared available products. But, this Logitech QuickCam ZOOM met my needs best. ...

Pros: Easy setup, flexible base, Standard Logitech interface Cons: Re-setting the camera settings after each unplug, loose connection with base after three weeks.
The big reason I bought this camera was the price\feature combo. I needed a camera that had a built in microphone so my family and I could communicate with the In-laws back in New England. (I just recently moved from Mass. to Ohio). With the selection I ...

Pros: Pretty and lens cover a good idea Cons: Major conflicts between software and XP
We are from the UK. We bought this cam mainly so I could see and talk to my son who lives 5000 miles away in South Korea. I wish I had read the reviews of Logitech cams on this site, because our experience was a nightmare. We wasted many hours trying to ...

Don't even consider buying it
by marekchrob ,Oct 14 '07
Pros: None. Cons: This thing just does not work, period. At least for macs.
I bought a Logitech QuickCam zoom for my mac, as they claim it works for macs. To begin with, they don't provide a driver on the CD. I dowloaded a driver from their site. The result: all I could see were dark green shadows. I tried three other drivers that claim to work for this camera, with only minimal improvement.
Logitech's 800 number tells you to call another number. When you call that number, it says the number is changed and give you another number to call. You need to call at business hours, of course.
I tried email too. The email interface was written by a nazi geek. An extra or missing space in the phone number, and you need to start all over, name, address, everything.

Not worth the price!
by adachic ,Dec 20 '03
Pros: From a great company, small, zoom Cons: POOR image quality
I actually got this as a gift, but returned it for another camera. Logitech is a great company, but they did miserably with this webcamera! The image is REALLY dark (not any better than those old $30 webcams). I tried everything I could think of to improve the image, but after I had turned on every light in my room and opened every window shade, I realized that it wasn't worth it. If you have to change the natural light you use in the room you place the webcam, it isn't worth the trouble. I'd recommend the Logitech Quickcam Pro 3000 or 4000. The Logitech Quickcam Zoom just doesn't cut it.

Easy to use, but poor quality
by iowarooster ,Oct 20 '03
Pros: Easy Set up, neat feature to zoom in digitally Cons: Quality of image is poor and Mounting is not stable
This web cam was easy to setup, but I am brining it back to the store to try a different one. Why? - 1) the mounting pedestal is flimsy and loose. You can't keep the camera pointing the same direction. 2) Quality - I am trying to use an image of our street, but the camera will NOT focus on anything more than a few feet away. Everything is blurry at 100 feet, no matter how much you try to adjust the focus ring. Ok cam for on your desk to do instant messaging, but not worth the $79 I paid for it.
