terrible! big mistake

i ordered my subscription from them because they were cheaper. I patiently waited 12 weeks for my first issue, but didn't get any. so i contacted the publisher and was told that magsonthenet.com never placed my subscription with them. After 4 weeks of trying to get through, i finally got an email from magsonthenet saying that there was some misunderstanding with the publisher and my subscription record was lost along with several other subscriptions. They offered me a free magazine and promised to reorder my subscription. Now, its been another 12 weeks and i haven't received any magazines yet. I think this company is a scam. Save yourself the headache and stay far away from magsonthenet.

I think all these "wonderful" reviews are written by MagsontheNet themselves. I can't contact them, they don't answer my e-mails and they don't have an answering machine. If I am lucky enough to ever receive my magazines, I will never shop with them again!! I am going to contact the FTC if I don't receive anything within the next week or two. I wish that I had read these reviews first! I am such an idiot!

Terrible.

Have used this site before and always had a positive experience. However, 04/2007 that changed. Ordered a package deal of 2 years of TIME that included 2 free magazines, DISCOVER and LATINA. My TIME subscription was only renewed for 1 year, I did receive DISCOVER, but never LATINA. Emailed with no response. Called customer service twice and was forwarded to a voice mailbox that was full. I called my credit card and disputed the amount to get my money back.

Don't deliver to your expectations

I ordered two separate 1-yr subscriptions. Unlike like many others I did receive my mags. Unfortunately I noticed that the 1-yr sub is only 11-months on the mag label. I sent them an email but don't expect a response after reading this site. Glad I used a coupon but won't be ordering again from these guys. I wouldn't fall for the 5 star reviews either since it's probably from the company.

Dishonest lying scam artists! Avoid avoid avoid!

I purchased a two year subscription in October 2005. The first year came, but the second year order was not placed. I called and emailed their customer service, no response. I went after them through the BBB and through National Community Service (who they use to place the orders) and was told November 11 that Magsonthenet had placed the renewal order. Well, hasn't happened yet, according to the magazine's customer service. I've asked Magsonthenet for the actual date and account number confirmation for this alleged renewal. They just send me emails saying "the problem has been fixed. You should get your magazine soon."
If you check the BBB website, you'll find quite a few complaints lodged against these weasels.

Stay away from this company. They used to be reliable but now the magazines do not get delivered. I called the magazine directly 14 weeks after I paid MagsOnTheNet and the have never received the subscription request. Many emails, phone calls and faxes go unanswered. Check out yahoo opinions and the New York BBB for more reviews on how bad this company is.

Long wait, awful service

Customer service is rude and it takes forever for the first issue to arrive - I have ordered in November and now they tell me it will arrive in May (first they said February). I don't know if I believe that either. Don't let the low prices fool you - $20 is a lot when you receive nothing in return :-)
Update: talking to customer service, however unpleasant, helped - I received March issue

mags on the net IS A FRAUD!!!

I placed a subscription in January 2007.
Time passed and after few mails to customer service asking for information regarding my order ( never answered) I received 2 mags from one of the subscriptions and then received no more.
DO NOT ORDER FROM MAGS ON THE NET. THESE PEOPLE ARE FRAUD. I wish I had checked about this people before ordering since now I donīt know how and where to complain

Do Not Order from this company. We had a similar experience to many who posted. My husband ordered a 3 year subscription to The Atlantic in Jan. 06, after numerous calls & emails to Mags on the Net we received the magazine with the June 06 issue. In Sept. a renewal notice showed up stating we only had a 1 year subscription. Call to The Atlantic says Mags on the net only forwarded a 1 year to them. Emails to Mags on the net were not answered. Simply put they are a scam.

Do not subscribe to any magazines from this website!
I wish I had read these reviews about magsonthenet before placing an order. I have contacted and filed a complaint with the BBB of NY. They have to give the company 6 weeks to respond, so I'm waiting for that time to go by. I'll get my money back from my credit card company. I'm going to do everything I can to make this company go out of business...whatever that may be. They don't return phone calls, their inboxes have been "full" for a couple months now, and they don't respond to emails either.

Do not use magsonthenet. After waiting 4 months (August 8, 2005 - Dec 12, 2005) to receive my magazine (never did) and going through headache after headache with customer service (wouldn't return emails, weren't taking phone calls because of "high volume of holiday orders"), I was finally able to cancel the order. I missed reading my favorite magazine for 4 months because I kept thinking it would come in the mail! Place your order with any other company.

DON'T DO IT. PLEASE! Now that I've screamed I feel better. I lost my $38.95 on a subscription I'm never going to receive. What's really hilarious is that the phone number that shows up on my checking account is disconnected. What does that say?
I ordered a magazine on 8/31/07 and the payment came out of my checking account on 9/4/07. I have never seen my magazine. When I tried to call the number on my checking account I get a standard phone message telling me the number has been disconnected. I have written to them threatening to sue them and they never answer.
However, I get tons of email from them asking me for my business, giving me coupons, etc. What I don't get is my mag.
I don't understand why, with all the complaints on here, nothing has been done except complaining. Any suggestions on what to do about this would be appreciated.
They have a nice web site but....SCAM! Again, DON'T DO IT!

ordered a subscription with the usual $5 discount.
I waited 90 days, nothing arrived. They don't respond
to emails and only allow you to talk to a real person
for new orders. Simply AWFUL. I will never use them
again. I ordered 3 different magazines from NetMagazines.com, on 3 separate occasions, without problems.
