The Fuji DS-7 is a small, lightweight digital camera with SmartMedia storage. SmartMedia is a small and thin floppy disc for storing up to 2MB of images. That's 30 images in standard mode (640 X 480) and 60 in economy mode (320 X 240). The disc slips in and out of the side of the camera with the ease of a standard floppy disc. The DS-7 offers the flexibility of storing images on disc, slipping the full disc into your pocket, and adding another for taking more photos. It combines the portability of a traditional camera with the advanced technology of a digital camera. You also get the convenience of simple downloads to your computer that eliminate film developing costs forever. Fuji made the DS-7 so it's easy to use and virtually foolproof. It comes with a 1.8-inch active matrix LCD panel for viewing and reviewing photos. The advantage of reviewing photos is you can delete and reshoot the ones you're not satisfied with. There's also a mode dial, with icons, that lets you choose from shooting, play-back, continuous play-back, self-timer, and PC modes. You can easily double check the mode you're in because it's displayed on the LCD panel. There are several ways to download and view images with the DS-7. For downloading, simply connect the included RS-232C cable to the camera and computer, or you can use an optional PC card adapter that inserts into your floppy drive. For viewing, connect the DS-7 to your television monitor, or print them on the Fujifilm Digital Video Printer.
