Pros: Excellent bill of fare, great show

My husband and I recently went to the Medieval Times dinner theater. I wasn't sure what to expect when we headed to the castle. The back of the castle faces the road, and parking is on the side. We didn't really know what we were going to see ...

by northeastgal Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Jan 08 '07
Pros: A fun dinner & show for all ages.
Cons: I didn't enjoy eating in the dark.
The week after Christmas there was no school so my son asked if I wanted to go with his family to Medieval Times. "Oh sure", I said. I've been waiting for someone to ask me. Since everyone else I know has been there, I was eager to check it out too. ...

Medieval Times - The Schaumburg, IL Castle

by chelledun Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 100, Mar 02 '08
Pros: Surprisingly tasty food, discounts often available, unique night out.
Cons: Incredibly expensive alcohol, awkward seat/table height, not a very repeatable show.
Happy birthday to me! I turn 26 next weekend, so Mr_chelledun decided to whisk me away on a slightly nerdy trip in celebration. At my request, we drove two hours to dine with the king at Medieval Times. Were we treated like royalty? Read on ...

by coldsteel7 coldsteel7 is a Top Reviewer on Epinions in Restaurants & Gourmet, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Sep 11 '00
Pros: Entertaining. Very Organized. Interesting.
Cons: Too Commercial. For $30 you can get "knighted."
My wife and I visited Medieval Times on Friday night. I came away with mixed feeling about the experience. First of all, we had a great time, and the show was absolutely spectacular. However, the one constant nagging complaint that I have is the...

Mediocre Food, Overpriced, Kids Loved the Show. It's Different.

by jelpinions , Nov 29 '04
Pros: It's something completely different. Knights' competition is enjoyable.
Cons: Denny's-quality food. Service and atmosphere poor. Crowd "condemns" loser to torture and death. Rodents.
OVERALL: We visited the Medieval Times in Schaumburg, IL in 11/2004. My overall impression was that I wished I hadn't spent $200 for this crummy meal, BUT it was the first time my 13-year old daughter had laughed all weekend. She really enjoyed it ...

Medieval Times.....Good Entertainment For A Night Out At The Beach!

by seeker1 , Sep 25 '01
Pros: It's a fun family thing to do
Cons: The food could be better.
We experienced this 'dinner show' one year, while at the beach with our son and daughter. We were looking for something fun to do and, were hungry at the same time, so thought this would be a good way to 'kill two birds with one stone'!

We...

Off With Their Heads!

by Petrescu , Jul 29 '06
Pros: The gift shop was sort of nice
Cons: Mediocre food, mediocre and corny show, far too expensive for what you get.
My husband and I have gone to Arundel Mills Mall many times to shop, dine or see a movie. Its a bit of a hike from our home on the eastern shore, but we like to make a day of it from time to time. Nearly every time we saw the elaborate facade of ...

Pros: The show is entertaining
Cons: Food is fair, show can be a bit contrived
In Orlando for a week with my 13-year-old daughter's volleyball team, we were looking for something interesting to do with the girls that didn't involve either a mall or a mouse. Someone suggested Medieval Times, and we thought we would give it a...

by noangels , Dec 01 '07
Pros: Great show, decent food, something different
Cons: A little expensive, dark when eating
It has been tradition in my fiance’s family to do something “different” for birthdays. The usual (although, great) restaurants are ditched for something extraordinary, once a year for each person’s birthday. For my Birthday last year, my fiancé and his ...
