Details: Considered by many to serve the best Italian food in the city, Saleh's has a loyal following among Seattle's established elite. A stone's throw from Green Lake, the open, airy, spotless interior offers bi-level seating. Enjoy the comfortable turquoise banquettes on the upper level, or great views of the lake from the lower level. Most of the menu is elegant, old-style Italian with heavier, spicier dishes dominating it. Saleh's does wonders with veal, either sauteing the medallions with mushrooms or in quatro fromaggi. The simply sauteed calamari starter is outstanding.
