I just started playing this for the first time in about 2 years, and it still has great game play. I love this game because if you want to, you can spend several hours just killing creatures to get items. You don't have to feel compelled to run through the storyline, at least not after you have beaten it once!

How does some of the new stuff work? (Reply to this comment)

I have just recently purchased the expansion set and couldn't believe all of the new stuff that was added.
I did just figure out that your hired mercs can be healed and you can give them weapons as well.
But I haven't figured out how the runes work... Do you know some detailed info about these? I read somewhere about piecing letters together to spell words and that is suppose to add some special bonuses...
Your review was well written, but I think it could use some more detail to help the newbies like me...
