This will be an uncharacteristically short review for me, but it will quite factual. First, in a nutshell, while the 100 LED flashlight I bought is very bright, it is low quality, and it shows.
First, while you'll likely pay from $20 - $30, plus shipping, to get one of these flashlights, they're "cheapies". Despite being fairly large and clunky looking, with a shiny "metallic" exterior, they are fairly lightweight, and not of robust construction. So, I would avoid dropping one, even from just a foot or two up, onto a hard surface. Besides the overall appearance and feel, the lack of quality extends to the small parts of the flashlight too, and that's where it can be most aggravating. The flashlight takes 4 AA batteries, and they are a tight fit in the spaces for them, so you have some trouble getting them out when they need to be changed. That, in turn, aggravates another problem; the little metal plates and springs that press against the ends of the batteries are not fastened securely, so before long, they'll fall out, and you may not be able to find them. Without them, the flashlight doesn't work, though if you're handy, you make a substitute for the part.
The flashlight does throw off plenty of light; however, it's rather unfocuse and diffuse, even at short range (6 - 8 feet), the beam has already spread to as wide as 8-10 feet. Used outside, you could easily light a small back yard, fairly brightly, with just one flashlight. On the other hand, the flashlight is almost useless for illuminating anything brightly at even modest distances, like 40-50 yards (the beam is just spread out too much).
Also, if you buy one of the brands that states you can get up to 20 hours of use from one set of AA batteries, don't believe it. I generally get 3-4 hours of continuous use before it's time for fresh batteries.
So, depending on what you want to use the flashlight for, it might be worthwhile, and it might not.
