trillian51's Full Review: Rumble Racing for PlayStation 2
I rarely play the latest video games, frankly anything more complicated than the 8-bit Nintendo tends to give me a headache. But Rumble Racing, when I played it, became quickly addictive. The controls are easy to use, the graphics are incredible (to the point where I was distracted from the race a few times while looking at the scenery), and the shortcuts make it more interesting than a lot of other racing games I've seen. The power-ups make it a sort of Gran Turismo meets Mario-Kart game, but they add that competitive element when you know you can't out-drive the computer, but you can blow up the other cars! Plus, the Easter Eggs (hidden bonuses) are a fun challenge if you tire of working to beat the next competition, and the bonus cars are really creative and fun to drive. the only annoying thing is the inane comments made by the voice-over announcer, but turning him off is easy.Overall, Rumble Racing is a great game for not only the hardcore video game player, but also the bored girlfriend...
