Pros: Cheap, good if you’re traveling alone
Cons: Long bus journeys, regimented ‘free’ time

I went on a Contiki ski week to Austria. The bus journey from London was 18 hours long and very uncomfortable!
Everything during the week was organized for us and was sometimes too organized. I went with 7 friends and we would have liked more free time to spend together rather than feeling obliged to join in with the evening events and ‘theme’ parties. We were made to feel like party-poopers for choosing to visit an alternative bar to the one that the rest of the 70-strong Contiki contingent went to every night.
Good if you’re traveling alone and want to meet lots of like-minded people, but I wouldn’t recommend it if going with friends.
