My wife and I wanted to see Poland using a "name brand" tour company, like Globus. However, the only all Poland tour is offered by Cosmos, which is a budget tour and I worried about the quality of the tour. We found no difference in quality between this tour and the one we took to Norway with Globus. The hotels were all new, and had beautiful lobbies and very nice rooms. Only one of the hotels (in Cracow) was outside of the city, but it offered free shuttle service into town. The included buffet breakfasts ranged from good to outstanding. The four included dinners were mediocre and consisted of food palatable to a wide variety of tastes. We eventually skipped the dinners and went into town to find a Polish restaurant.
Our Polish tour director was very capable and took care of personal requests. There were no glitches. In each city and attraction, we had an excellent local guide. The guide in Warsaw was a college professor who had written a book about Warsaw, which we purchased from him.
At $999.00, which is what we paid, Jewels of Poland is a real travel bargain. And Poland surprised us with how much there is to see and how beautiful and interesting it is.
