I did the Cosmos Jewels of Morocco last November and it was awesome!  For $739 I had no problem with any of the hotels.  We arrived in Casablanca and immediately took off toward Fes.  I felt like I was in an Indiana Jones movie.  Yes lots of bus time on two of the days--but with the markets and exotic culture it was fine.  Definitely do the optional camel rides when you are in Erfoud--start in 4x4's tearing across the desert then ride camels up the dunes to watch the sunset...all for about $20...Amazing! First Cosmos trip won't be the last.
