As a seasoned traveler, I had the very worst experience to date with Delta Vacations. We had booked a vacation with them to take a trip with some family who had never traveled before. They wanted us to come with them to celebrate a honeymoon type vacation they never had the opportunity to take. The week before we were to leave I was informed our room at the resort we booked through Delta Vac was not available (it however was paid for). It was only through the resort itself that I learned that our room was literally cancelled by DV.
For a week solid I received nothing but pure grief from DV telling me that they would have to put us at another resort, and that if we did not book this ASAP that these other resorts would fill up and then they would just put us anywhere they could find a room. It was only through my own efforts in dealing with our resort directly that I could secure us a room after we arrived. Prior to this DV kept assuring me they were in constant contact with the resort and that there just was not any room for us. I found them to be very insulting, demeaning, irresponsible, dis-honest and rude.
