Pros: price...but you get what you pay for. IF you even GET that.
Cons: The entire post-booking experience..
The Bottom Line: Dont do it. Pay for a real ticket from a real airline-- those planes actually fly when scheduled, which sort of makes the extra money worth it!

| alisoninaustin's Full Review: Funjet Vacations |
...because yesterday, roughly 2 weeks before my departure date, I was called by Expedia, though which I booked this FunJet roundtrip flight over a month ago from DFW to Puerto Vallarta, and was informed that FunJet had decided they didnt feel like flying that week, and they had cancelled my flights. "WHAT?! Dont they have to put me on another plane or something?" I asked... well, no. Apparently, that is in my "Bill of Rights" Which I read, and see all sorts of ways they can screw you to the wall if YOU need to cancel for any reason....however,nothing about their obligation to actually provide you with the service tha you have contracted and paid them to provide. Some clause about how they will use their "best efforts" not to cancel flights within 2 weeks of travel or something to that effect, however I just dont know what type of crystal ball the FunJet guys are using, to know about whatever "EMERGENCY" situation is destined to affect a flight not happening for 2 weeks. I digress... OK, back to my miserable conversation with FunJet...the nice lady I get at customer care informs me that my options are to rebook for the 15th - 22nd of Dec, or accept a refund. I explain if I had wanted or been able to travel those dates, that is what I would have booked. I dont want a refund, I want a flipping flight on the 29th like I bought. Well, "unfortunately" (doesnt it make you want to climb thru the phone & commit a felony when then start with that?) they do not have a plane flying now on my dates, I will have to fend for myself. Sorry. Right. So, the $383 trip has just-- through NO fault or irresponsible late planning on my part-- turned into a $600 trip, and this is in no way their responsibility to compensate. Its obvious what their "emergency" was....not enough people booked to make it profitable to fly, so we're out of luck. Well, shouldn't that be too bad for FunJet, the cost of doing business, win some / lose some.....right? Nope....I, the lucky customer get to bear the risk of their profitability gamble. They win no matter what! Lovely. Fantastic Company they've got there.... Would have been a great deal, financially-- and now I see why-- you are gambling on the trip actually happening... hope your reason for flying isn't important......really, given the opportunity I would take out billboards in all major cities warning the free world about this shady company. Does any other airling ever pull this crap? Seriously-- I have NEVER heard of anything like this.....Id love to know if Ive just been incredibly lucky with airtravel all my life.
