Pros: VENICE, the itinerary, VENICE, Fabrizio, VENICE, the friendly Italians, VENICE, Italian food and wine!
Cons: The four of us were assigned seats far apart on the plane.
The Bottom Line: We were delighted with Go Ahead.

My husband and I took our adult son and daughter-in-law on a tour of Italy with Go Ahead last November. I cannot praise them enough!
First of all, I was concerned that my 40ish son and daughter-in-law might be the only younger people on the tour. Not to worry...there was a wonderful assortment of ages and everyone mixed very quickly with everyone else. It was a real fun crowd!
The itinerary (Venice, Florence and Rome with many additional stops and options) was superb.
The tour guide, Fabrizio, was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful, even making reservations for 10-20 of the group who wanted to go out to dinner together.
There were only three included dinners (presumably because in Italy there are so many wonderful places to try) but all three of these were superb, even happily accommodating my vegetarian tastes without prior notice.
The hotels were beautiful and had every convenience. I would note that in Florence and Rome, while in lovely residential neighborhoods, were a little out of town. This was fine for us as we love to walk and had lots of fun with the subways in Rome but could prove difficult for those who would have to take taxis around.
I would also mention that in each city, a local tour guide was included with "whisper" devices so she/he could speak to us from a distance right into our ears!
In Rome, while exiting from the Sistine Chapel, our guide said that she might be able to get a few tickets for the Papal Audience the next day. The four of us jumped at this opportunity and had an unforgettable experience the next morning.
