| dispirit's Full Review: Princess Tours |
We have recently returned from a Princess cruise package deal from Australia to Alaska. It included a two day stay at San Francisco and airfares from Melbourne. The price was very reasonable at $3400A. All elements of the trip were very well organised and the cruise ship Dawn Princess was of the highest standard of service and inclusions. The 11 day cruise to Alaska had 4 port stops where optional tours could be purchased at varying prices. We think that these tours made the trip, we went whale watching in Juneau, bus trip to the Yukon etc etc. There was time to have the tour and do some local shopping. We would recommend Princess cruise to Alaska. Ours was an internal cabin and it still had plenty of room. Entertainment on the ship was excellent and not all cruise ship corny as I had thought it might be. Food was amazing with lots of choices. Go and see Alaska with Princess you will not be
disappointed. Cabin staff service your room twice a day and are very pleasant. Choices of food on the ship range from first class dining rooms and new menus each night, daily high tea silver service, buffet style bistro with more food than you could ever want to hamburgers on the deck. Watching whales from the deck of the ship and sitting in the heated pool and spa in the middle of the Pacific ocean was truly amazing. You meet people from all over the world, though mostly from US as it is much cheaper for them to arrive. All ports of call, we went to Skagway, Juneau, Sitka and Victoria in Canada, had easy access to ATM, but we used credit cards very easily. The one thing I would suggest is saving some cash to tip the luggage porter back in San Francisco.
