| lepards's Full Review: Worry Free MLT Vacations |
To try to make a long story short, last Thursday my wife and I were leaving Las Vegas (after a wonderful stay) at 3:40pm on a flight to St. Louis (Champion Air owned by Northwest). We backed out on the runway and sat for two hours with no air conditioning and an obnoxious drunk (they had to kick off)then pulled back up to the terminal for another hour to fix engine # 2, before leaving for St.Louis , thank god they announced that their best mechanic would fix it right up. So the pilot comes over the speaker "Everything seems to be working fine let's go" Well after an hour and a half in the air we lost engine #2 (not sure where but I would say early in the flight as we didn't make it to far from las vegas) and so they made an emergency landing in Denver Colorado where we spent the next 6 hours waiting for another plane....(we were given a sack lunch) during the 6 hour wait we wandered around the airport and were detained by security who told us we needed an airline representative to come get us through security so security called them to let them know we were there and needed them (they never came, we waited 1 1/2 hours for someone to come) we heard the plane leave without us...what a horrible feeling.... when we finally found someone from the airline they informed we were not supposed to leave the area therefore....(many people had went to smoke, eat or stretch unfortunatly we went at the wrong time, after midnight they do not let anyone in the concords without an airline rep or GAC with them) we were never told not leave the area) there was nothing they would do for us and that our bags were locked up and we could get them at 5 am, and they turned thier backs on us and went home. We waited until the ticketing office for Champion/MLT Worryfree Vacations opened and found out at 6 am our bags had went to St. Louis without us (a saftey violation) they did offer to take 1 of us back to vegas and then TRY to find space on a flight (leaving at midnight) from there to St. Louis. We declined that offer of course, then we were told there was nothing else they could do that we would need to call Worry Free Vacations/MLT Vacations help line and ask them what to do. We called and they got us a flight out at 8 am on a Northwest flight to Memphis and then another flight to St. Louis but we HAD to pay for it!! In the end it took us 31 hours to get to St. Louis from Vegas and 2 more hours to drive home making that a total of 33 hours without sleep. The company MLT vacations otherwise known as Worry Free Vacations had made our Worry Free Vacation a NIGHTMARE. They were rude, incompetent, unprofessional and I would not recommend them to even my enemies. It is hard to say anything good about this company as they did not care in the least that because of their mechanical problems, delays, small fleet of planes and unorganized people who work for MLT, we were left stranded in Denver Colorado without clothes, food or a way home to our children and business.... and what if we didn't have that one credit card with us (all the rest were in our luggage) we would probably still be stuck in Denver! We were treated so horrible and without any compassion. This is not an exaggeration my friends this is the real TRUTH! I do planned to be compensated even if it takes hiring a lawyer.
