This is one of my favorite Vespa models. I have owned mine for about 5 years. The VBA (the VIN# prefix for the 1959 Vespa150) is one of the most beautiful scooters Vespa ever built. It is very similair to many of the early 60's vespas, but it features some very cool small details. The tailight is very beautiful it features a red brake light with an orange ranning light right above it, the front fender is smooth and seamless like those of the 50's, it has no trim on the side panels, and the back of the bike is rounded instead of flat. It featured a 3speed 150cc motor good for about 50mph, and the gas mileage is excellent. The threespeed transmision and not so hot reliability (compared to the later models) are the main drawbacks (untill I installed a newer motor). One big plus to the VBA is you can bolt almost any newer Vespa motor into it, making a very fast fun reliable vintage scooter. Many people are afraid of scooters with 8" wheels, but I own both 10" and 8" bikes, and at the low speeds you will be riding this bike (under 55mph) it is very stable.
