Pros: Works Great and Last a long time
Cons: Like any animal deterent product, it is harmful to humans and animals if ingested.
The Snake A Way Snake Repellent really works. If you live in a snake prone area and you have children and/or pets that share the same space you definitely want to use this stuff. Think of it as your normal yard maintenance, similar to fertilizing.
Usability: This stuff really works. It is your perimeter guard. The stuff smells awful. It is a mixture of moth balls and other stuff that is harmful to humans and animals if ingested. You apply it around the perimeter of your home or lawn. I usually just open the lid and generously sprinkle around the outer perimeter to create an invisible barrier for the snakes to stay away from.
Longevity: The stuff lasts a while but that is determined by rainfall and the amount of that is applied to the area. I try to apply once a month, again depending on the rainfall.
Safety: This stuff is caustic, so it is harmful to humans and animals if ingested. So be careful. I try to apply it to areas just outside the normal range of pets and children so they would not be exposed to the product. If you have, neighbors make sure you talk to them prior to putting the product down since it could be applied to their property. Also, be careful of the wind when applying the product. DO NOT let the stuff blow back into your face.
Overall: It is the best product that I know of, that will help provide a perimeter deterrent to snakes that will not harm them in any way and keep your pets and children safe within that perimeter.
