My dad bought me a 2000 Arctic Cat 400, and i could not be any happier with the All Terrain Vehicle. Since i was a beginner, and lived in the mountains in upstate New York, he thought this vehicle would be excellent for me, and it had enough power to get me out of sticky situations. I got the five speed manual transmission, and olive green exterior. My Arctic Cat 4x4 contains numerous features you'd expect such as the most ground clearance, most rack capacity, dual piston, hydraulic disk brakes (front and rear), and more additional features finding there way into the 2000 lineup include full width front axle boot protectors (stick stoppers) offering additional puncture protection for the boot. When i first got on the four wheeler, it seemed pretty high to me... although being 19 and never riding on ebefore, anyone would seem high but after i took it for a test drive, the suspension worked perfectly and was able to take turns without flipping it over. The four wheeler seemed heavy, which is good and bad but i think the heavier or built to it is the better! My favorite part about it was the on and off fuel switch which allows you to shut off the gas so no one can take off on it, and you can switch to reserve if you run out of gas with ease! The lights are very bright on the four wheeler and you can easily travel at dark with this four wheeler! And to get you there and back, this Arctic Cat has a new 4.75 gallon fuel tank that feature an in tank fuel gauge and larger diameter filler neck making stops at the pump more convenient. Towing and carrying cargo is a breeze, because the towing capacity for the 400 4x4 and 400 2x4 are 1050 lbs. and 1020 lbs., respectively. T I would recommend this ATV to anyone; from beginners to expert hunters!
