Awesome! This is the only word I will use to describe the 2000 Bombardier DS 650 ATV. The DS 650 has set the standards for which all other manufacturers will be chasing over the coming years with technological innovations that are better than the competitions. If I could stop at awesome I would but there is so much more to tell you.

The first thing that grabs your attention to the DS 650 is the way it looks. It has the look of a jungle cat ready to pounce on its prey. The DS 650 has the highest ground clearance over all other ATV’s in its class yet still maintains a sleek and compact appeal that the others don’t have. Bright yellow and black with just the right amount of chrome, the DS 650 not only outruns the competition but also outshines it.
The attention to detail that Bombardier paid when creating this ATV monster is absolutely incredible. Headlight, break light, independent A-arm front suspension, disc breaks front and rear, over 11 inches travel front and rear and that’s just for starters. The DS 650 is powered by a 4 stroke, 653 cc liquid cooled engine that features an electric starter powered by a 12-volt battery. At 460 lbs, the DS 650 isn’t the lightest bike in its class but the engine carries over and picks up for any added weight.
One of the nice features of the DS 650 is the large capacity fuel tank. The tank holds just over 3 gallons of gas that gives the DS 650 a great range and keeps refueling stops to a minimum. Going back to the suspension I would like to add that comparing the DS 650 to the others in its class has shown that the DS 650 suspension travel is superior to the others. The starter works fantastically and will usually fire the DS 650 up with one or two pushes of the button. The radiator to keep the bike cool is mounted low but is well protected.
I highly recommend the 2000 Bombardier DS 650 ATV as with out a doubt in my mind the best ATV in its class and something to be added to any toy collection. I would tell you how nice it rides but I think I will do that in an opinion on the Mojave Desert some day.
